@Warlord360: Yes, but even if the corpse would be able to stay there without problems, it would be pointless, since when taking him back again with the girl the bridge would break anyway.
After a couple of Submachine episodes which were quite on the low profile, finally I'm glad to see again an episode that mixes exploration and puzzle-solving in a perfect way. Great job.
In a certain sense I agree that there should be keyboard shortcuts as well, anyway I spend most of the time in this game by thinking and not by trying things out; also I play it very relaxed and use only my right hand, so I've never felt more shortcuts were really needed. There actually are shortcuts for rotating pieces (1,3,4,8). Also why people feel the need to restart a level that many times? O.O I think I pressed the clear button like 20ish times in 50 levels? I would understand that it is a very important issue if the game wasn't so mouse heavily controlled as it is, but, to be honest, I don't see it as a priority.
I'm not really that impressed by this game, even if I'm a sucker for platformers; the fantasy theme is a bit trite and the game is nothing else than a brainless "go there, take that". I appreciate the effort anyway, 3/5.
How controls should have been: Arrow keys) movements; down) enter doors, use levers; S,D) Swap with precedent/following character colour; X,C) Use primary/secondary power.
Even if I respect miss AnemoneMeer to be a genius in reviewing games and pointing out flaws, I must say I didn't experienced any problem with the controls. I actually think they are pitch perfect.
Even if I'm pretty deluded for the lackness of an online multiplayer function, which I thought it could be doable given the limited player input, the developer already stated that he experimented that with scarce results, mostly because of synch problems with older computers.
This game is indeed terrible; main reason for that is that's just a mess. (1) I have no way that in a melee combat I can't understand if the red number is because of an inflicted or received damage. What about using 2 colours? (2) It's terribly repetitive; there are more or less a total of 10 different screens; so you'll keep repeating the same levels again and again; you'd have them memorized way before you end first playthrough. (3) It's just crazy how you programmed the randomness of spawn for rare enemies. Wouldn't have been better if you made "character unlocking" more smart, like unlocking by doing precise action (like using a particular attack or char with a precise enemy or object) instead than being so totally random? (4) Why do we need that crazy amount of chars if we can effectively use just a very small amount of them? In particular having a flying, ranged and low cooldown char makes it superior than everyone else.
Game is fun and challenging, but our own hitbox is way too big, making it impossible to avoid every bullet in certain situations and pointless to choose the large spaceship since it's like a magnet for bullets. 4/5 anyway.
I don't understand why most of the developers refuse to add the ability to respec (reassign skill points) in modern games. This should definitely be a standard in every game. How can I plan how to assign skill points if can't actually test them on field? Then you reach the max level out of nowhere and if I've totally messed up the assignation I have nothing to fix it, apart deleting my savefile with brute force and restart from scratches, with the possibility to mess up assignation again. I don't care at all that my character has different characteristics than another player; I just want to test out freely all the chances this game has to offer. Why are you disallowing me to do so? That's even worse considering that's a small game, since I'm allowed to test just a portion of it. 2/5 anyway. Graphics have to be improved a lot and I'd prefer more than 3 keyboard shortcuts.
thanks!
