ABOUT COMBOS: "Standard" attacks have a chance of dealing extra blows and statusing enemies. They can be knocked into a Low Float, High Float, or Knockdown. Other characters' "chase" skills can then activate in the right conditions, allowing more attacks and possibly more statuses. Example: Naruto's Taijutsu inflicts Low Float, which triggers Sasuke's Lion's Barrage inflicting Repulse, which triggers my Sphere of Graves inflicting Knockdown, which triggers Hinata's Sky Drop. On the "Ninja" screen you can click the pop-up "Display matches" buttons to see any character's combo compatibility with the rest of your ninjas. Once you've unlocked the "Talents" button, you can change your own chase skill to better serve your squad. By thinking about combos, you can build your party to do MUCH more damage, allowing you to reach level 24 and quit faster.
Grolox: I disagree. 90+% of my mana decisions are automatic in ALL my decks. Very rarely is there ever any decision making other than in deck building, so it's a little boring. All hammer, no nail.
I finally got the Headache Badge. I recommend jumping in place to hit the shell LATE so that you have more time to run into position on the ground. That way, you'll have more control over your character.
Another notable issue is the camera. They way it slowly shifts when you change directions is a plain nuisance. I'd much rather have it be static with the character (zoom out a little?).
Level 10 is hard if you forget the jump command is context sensitive (up AND down), so look at the terrain accordingly and find the pattern! Level 11 is impossible if you start by walking, since the 1st row will now be 7 while the rest are 8.
The game is way too grindy. Also, Aether is the best element because their effects are transcendent. They have invincible dragons, LONG lasting damage immunity, and a high damage sword that also removes abilities. Lastly, the array of 1-way matchups (showcased by the false gods--how else would you beat them?) show a lack of balance.
I was unable to identify the plate needed to combine ______ with _____, but this was otherwise perfect (and creepy)! I was stuck in the sub for quite some time but figured it out without hints. Definitely 5 stars.
If you fail 300 pixels, you can unlock the Money X badge. When combined with the First Failed Pixel badge, you'll get 70 gold per failed pixel, allowing you to grind money fast. You can also get the powerful Goodbye Robbie and Pray for Paris badges pretty easily, which I recommend.
