Pretty good implementation of Qix, but you lost a point because there is no way to avoid leaving the edge. You need to add a button to start drawing. Until it is pressed, player movement should be restricted to the edge.
An awesome game. Minions 2 should be have a zoom option so that you can see more of the field, and you should be able to use your points to either upgrade your current bot(s) or buy more. I can see a game lasting more than an hour with each player controlling six bots. Insane!
Don't worry about the haters. They don't have a *clue* about what this was all about. I've been around since the days when you only had 4k to work with, and give you kudos for making something that plays so well (granted, keyboard controls would be *most* welcome). 5/5
Wow. If this your first game, then well done. Otherwise.....wow.
1) Get a better mic and/or higher quality compression
2) You don't really need difficulty levels. Every 30 seconds, average how long it takes from when a new circle is created to when it is clicked over the /last/ 30 second, then increase the speed of creation, growth, etc. by 5-10% of that amount. That will naturally ramp up the difficulty based on each person's skill level.
Controls work better than Diepix Heroes, but still will still sometimes not release directional travel when you release the key. You have to press whatever direction it insists on going before you can stop it.
For some reason, the keyboard controls are all screwed up (constantly moving in one direction, etc.), I can't shoot anything, and nothing can damage me.
Fun game. I can't /wait/ for you to finish it. Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scorched_Earth_%28computer_game%29. That should give you some ideas.
*Fantastic* game. The controls are almost perfect, the levels are well made, and the monsters both show ingenuity and just plain /work/. Now that I've played the first level, I can't *wait* for him to finish the others! If I were the dev, I'd give serious consideration to creating a Wii or DS version.
Awesome game! A few hints: Let the ball hit the ground once; it will bounce on your head a lot faster. Every bounce on your head increases the balls power and speed when you eventually kick it. (I've taken out keepers repeatedly with a single ball that bounces back to me after it hits them.)
There was a game that is ten times better called Scorched Earth that came out *18*YEARS*AGO*. Look it up in Wikipedia, then check out the Java version mentioned in the article. Make your game half as good or have half as many weapons, and your next version will be earning solid 4's.
