Anyway the main thing id like to see if you make a sequel is research actually having a realistic and noticable change to the war on zombies, so for example you learn that shooting them in the head kills them instantly then more die, as opposed to if you waste your time throwing custard pies at them humanity is destroyed...something to that degree.Heck perhaps adding a zombie ambasador if you max out humanity and mood and do all the good actions >_>.
Anyway 2.5(so 3)/5 its not horrible, its just nothing special.
(two posts due to length >_>.)
It had promise to begin with, like a morbid Tamagochi, however whilst you got some amusing new items it was pretty much the same old things throughout the whole game, RP quickly became useless, having maxed everything really early
Voices were ok, scientist sounds like Vince from ATCE and the female sounds a bit like Elena from Uncharted. so um thats all i have on voices.
Story, wasnt horrible but very generic, it would have been nice if you could have chosen different routes, either actually trying to find a damn cure (something we never actually considered apparently o_O) to becoming a zombie warlord. Oh and a zombie cameo for the female scientist. plus we kidna got screwed on the actual ending, expected SOMETHING to happen not just "Im now bored." that just sucks >=/.
Why I gave this a 1/5.
Its basically a crappy version of Sonny, which had much more skills and a better story. i stopped caring after fight...4 or so.
Which leads to another point, there were FAR too many fights, a tedious grind of fail. Im amazed it was not an Impossible badge due to this -.-
The voices were i assumed at first meant to be cheesy, but they just cycled really early, i started skipping them.
The shop was useless, selling very few items , and in the game itself there were no really standout great items.
Mercs didnt attack often enough or hard enough, they were only useful as meat sheilds.
Intimidate and Chameleon wee amazngly OPd.
if, you make another one it should be much shorter with all of these fixed. Regret playing it and it goes in my list of "id give it a minus score if possible". The first non Point+Click game. Congrats o_O.
a far better P+C game than the one badgefied last week. But, there were still some irksome bits, the Kraken should have given a hint for the last action, had to look at the walkthrough to figure it out. Room changing took too long, sometimes you just researched every room just to see f anything changed, so the wait became very noticable. Music was cool at first, but its ust a short loop, a full soundtrack would have been nice.
But, the artwork was interesting and the story was interesting enough. Should do a sequel or another P+C game.
Also on a sidenote was the bell that did nothing a reference to that godawful what was it...P+C game based on Alice in Wonderland? o_O.
4/5.
So, theres a LOT that should have been improved, did you even beta test it? I highly doubt it -.- the game really isnt fun at all, the story is useless, the art style...isnt bad. Therego, this game goes in a special category for me, games id give a minus to, its so bad it doesnt deserve a 1/5. It shall get one, but thats being hella generous -.-. if, you make a sequel consider all the sucks in this, dont use any of it and actually test it yourself before releasing it onto the internet -.-
(3 posts >_>. 2 horrific games given badges this week :( )
Control wise it was...meh, got boring really quickly, and the bar was like taking a potshot as to what % youd get, there were times when I was no where near the sweet spot and got 100, and others where it was definatley on gold and yet gave a stupidly low number.
What else...oh, you should be able to tag partners or all attack the same enemy, either that or have the heal for not using them go up a craptonne, if Jimmy is just going to stand there and watch me shotgun a dog 10 times then he can damn well slap on a plaster -.-
oh, and another thing poison is stupid the enemy instantly adds it at the start of the fight, and it does insane amounts of damage to some of the lower HP characters, if it were a random % chance to add and wore off then yeah that wouldnt be so bad, not only that, the shotgunners version sucks in comparison -.-
ugh right. For the first 4 or so fights it seemed interesting but, after that it got REAAAAAAAAAALLY tedious after that. Characters went from amazingly UPd to a brick wall. Could have done with, open paths, purchasable weapons and armour with different stats (so basically a normal RPG o_O) and an interesting story.
Which leads to another point, the story sucked. gave up reading after chapter 3 or so, it made basically no sense and I didnt miss much by not reading it.
Which sorta links to another part. Natural between level healing sucked. the healer should have been able to fully heal himself, as he had magic to do so. Plus you should have fully healed at the end of each chapter -.-. Now you might think it was initially an unreleated Segway he states at the start of what chapter 3 "We are prepared for you" yet both my guys had 10 or so hp. that, is bad planning and bad preperation.
...Im conflicted as to if this is better or worse than the first. (of which, I would give a minus score no less) , Played this partly for the badges and partly to see if it was any better.
Why it was worse: boring "puzzles" , few items to pick up, hiding silly pieces of text to make up for this and nothing that sets it apart from any other Point+Click games.
Its short, less random room swapping clicking blindly for items. But, annoying in that the fish guy seems to just pop up for no reason.
Story was as boring as the first time, if anything even more so.
Tbf, the only 2 good things compared to the first one was that the animation from the Appel floating down was kinda cool, it was also shorter.
However, there is still nothing unique or interesting, so again 1 with a "if it were possible -eh lets say 4". =/.
Impossible felt increduly easy, found it easier than uh the third hardest difficulty. Granted having 2 remotley competent guys from the first city helped ut still, I had an empire around twice the size of my first city.
Granted I lost 2 fights but that was my own fault. impossible was MUCH harder on 1 :o.
still fun game just not a huge amount different from 1 o_O. 4/5 for this reason. (ganted changing too much would be bad, it just feels like 1.3 not 2).
well...its fun, ill be damned if i can figure out how to get over 140,000 points however >_>. Song given wasnt great ill be entirely honest, could have been worse but not great.
Didnt really understand what was going on at all, doesnt mean its a bad game, just confusing o_O , 3/5
Took too long to complete, run mode was stupidly hard and to get all the points to upgrade anything to max is far too hard >_>. Also itd be nice if the pointer wasnt so massive, a dot about a third of that size would have done plenty, its too distracting -.-
Started off fun, got very meh. 2/5
Right lets see, well the good points, playing the demo about a year ago was promising, looked fun. LS1+2 were enjoyable and so it came from a good background
right now the some of the bad, not all as im going to bed o_O.
allies suck. mine died waaaaaaaay back at the start, couldnt get the girl back again, so i was just going solo. They need to be upgradable and commandable, so that they dont suicide rush in with a melee weapon -.- They should also be able to wear different clothes like you can, would make a nice thing and explain why you get dupes of some items such as the police shirts.
stamina drains far too fast, either give me a skill to increase it sooner or just up it by about 10X faster.
Heal unit does not seem to work on Thunder turrets. Mute does not seem to work, I can still hear wind whistling, as I have few other tabs open its likely from this. Game is very, very tedious, needs a speedup button and well, to have something unique, as it happens its just another random game I wouldnt play were it not for Badges.
1/5 yet another game thatd get a minus score were it possible.
Also could really use a magic hub, I really dont want to click on a certain portrait to cast a spell, and click it again to recast it a few seconds later.
Would be nice to see units stats ping up underneath the unit bar on the formation screen after you click on them at the top, would make comparison of units easier o_O.
Nice idea and an amusing take on TD to begin with. But, after the first few levels it got very, very tedious and i really couldnt be farked after level 5 or so, with more diverse units it may have been interesting, not the worst game out there, but certainly not one i intend to finish x_x.
It was more of a reference to the real story behind Black Sam and the name of his ship before it became the Ribcage. :) Thanks!
