1/5 lack of sound effects and music is a problem. gameplay is just a puzzle that gets harder and takes more time when grid size is increased. this fact makes the lack of music an even bigger problem. having a catchy tune or something not bad in the background makes the player not entirely focused on the puzzle, which increases atmosphere and user entertainment. sure, i could play something from youtube, which i did, but this just covers up the developers mistake. imagine if a gaming console was released, but there was a problem with it that randomly turned the console off. the developers soon heard of this, but instead of recalling the products and fixing them, the developers said that you had to press the power button 5 times to stop the problem from occurring during that gaming session. sure this is easy to do, but why does the consumer have to put up with the intentionally left problem? 1/5 i just got sick of this game.
1/5 good amount of exploration and customization. unfortunately, this game fails in the difficulty department. every time you die, you get sent back to the door you came in and start with full hp... this removes any sort of intense moments fighting bosses with 3 hp or and sense of danger for the player because you can instantly start doing it again. this can also be considered an exploit because you can get full hp by dying and not worry about being displaced from your goal. imagine playing 'tetris' but every time you topped out, all blocks disappear and you start with an empty area and with the same amount of points. there is no fun to be had with this game. 1/5 no one appreciates a game where there is no danger.
1/5 tower defense games are just boring for me. this has more challenge and difficulty than others in its genre, but i just dont like sitting through boring waves. also, i dont like the fact that some of my dudes can miss the enemy. why do the archers even shoot high into the air??? there doesnt seem to be any way to improve the things you buy. does this mean that you go through the whole game playing with the same 3 dudes??? if so, then this game turns into a monotonous game, in both unit variety and level design, after stage 2. also, i believe this is ripping of the "kingdom rush" game. a game ripping off another bad game just spells trouble. 1/5 unoriginality and bad gameplay mechanics push me away from playing this game.
1/5 basically an idle game. i dont see how this game is classified as an 'adventure' game when the gameplay is so linear and you dont really do any exploring. there is a lack of depth in the fighting. all you have to do is wait 5 seconds and then use potion. ai automatically attacks so you dont have to worry about playing the game that much. every so often, go into town and buy all potions. go back in and start the idle process over again. if only the game didnt auto-attack because a manual attack could bring a management challenge for the player. there doesnt seem to be any difference in the enemies i face; all that changes is their stats and they dont have anything unique about them. 1/5 very bland idle game; i really dont like the false advertising of this.
1/5 the controls for the slide puzzle are too strange. rearranging the stage is a little interesting, but its execution is sloppy. instead of this slide puzzle mechanic, i suggest an empty play area where you can drag the different tiles in or out of the play area, but you cant remove the one with you in it. also, i dont like how you cant move from 1 tile to another without the borders of the tiles matching. thats similar to if i wanted to go through a doorway, but the doorway was too big. the developer had an interesting idea here; too bad he managed to drop the ball so many times, the ball looks like a pancake. 1/5 design problems are this game's downfall.
1/5 gameplay is more boring point-and-click nonsense. i dont know whats worse: the main developer let kids do this trash artstyle or the main developer did the bad graphics himself. gameplay is so boring because when your mouse is over the object, it is highlighted red. thanks for taking out the excitement of discovery... i might as well play the "button hunt" games if i want a more challenging click only game. i dont understand the second half of the game. after finding all the cats, now i have to find some red coaster??? if i was invested in this game, i would rate this badly just because of false advertising. 1/5 though because the gameplay and graphics arent good.
1/5 just starting playing and i have no idea what im doing. so i skipped the story and all that and now a jellyfish falls to the ground repeatedly. where are the instructions? good games either have some instructions at the start or expect the player to use common sense to figure out the controls because, for some game types, its easy to find out. but this is on a different scale; it takes the second option and leaves the player with true ambiguity. music is there probably to make the player not tear their hair out. anyone who can figure out what to do in this "game" is the king of games. 1/5 i just cant fathom what the developer was thinking when they made this; trash game deserves to be removed and everyone should get 30 points.
1/5 game is very boring. after playing for a while, game has no challenge or threat of danger. just move your mouse around and go for anything that doesnt look like water. health regen is too good such that brainless actions dont punish the player. there are so many gauges the developer wants you to keep up with; sadly, he failed at making any of them matter. 1/5 as it stands, poor gameplay and design leads players to feel overpowered without any means of stopping them, failing to achieve the 'difficulty' requirement for good games. here is my advice for the day: if you see this comment, dont play this game; you can thank me later.
1/5 what exactly is the point or goal of this game? i clicked on 'free swim' mode; didnt know what i expected, but there is no way to get back to the main menu from there, or at least any method that im aware of. gotta refresh the page and try again... so now i clicked on 'start game' and i see that this is a high score game. this game definitely isnt for me; i like having some form of progression and there isnt much substance to this game. music and graphics are bland and i imagine, without some guide, the impossible badge is just something too obscure to actually find out. 1/5 could not enjoy this game; cant believe that a sequel was made of this type of game.
1/5 kind of interesting, until you realize that everything depends on rng to let things happen. games that have rng-dependent gameplay should never have the "strategy" tag. ive already had my fill of the "necronomiconquerer" and i dont want to get screwed over by more things i cant control. heres how you play this game: step 1: choose a class. step 2: start the game from a random starting location. step 3: whenever you can, get random evolutions. step 4: win because the game rolled correctly or lose. i imagine this would be ok if it wasnt played for badges, although i have to give this 1/5 because i do not like the rng gameplay.
1/5 story and events do not make any sense in any reality. so a stray dog wandered into someones apartment building. the protagonist tries to do a nice thing and feed it, but it gets scared from an unusually large rat. eventually, the dog breaks multiple items that people own; now, my character has to make it up to them by performing various actions. first of all, i dont know why i have to do this; not my dog not my problem. second, after doing the most logical thing, that is locating the dog and rat, i get lost in the several buildings. in conclusion, the dog and rat are just plot devices that force your character to do something she is not obligated to do. as for the gameplay, there is none. point and click on the screen and grind money somehow. i dont even know how the "golden scepter" plays into the story of human connections. 1/5 dont recommend; maybe i just dont like this format and style of game, but this and the music are not good.
1/5 game is boring. i didnt even move my mouse in any of the level and mindlessly clicked and just beat level 3... i think the exp system can be improved on. it follows the same annoying style shown in "ffii," although in this game it is more forgivable since there arent as many variables in the enemies. at least some exp should be given to the other weapons because, if i were to keep playing this game, the fireball would be my main weapon and i would not consider anything else. im not sure what happens in later levels, but i think the sun god should have a presence in the stages. if im doing something that inhibits his worship, i would think he would put up a barrier or something to stop me; perhaps this is hinting to a plot point where neither of the gods exist and we just kill people. 1/5 gameplay, as it is, is too easy and limits weapon variety.
1/5 gameplay is really boring. also, why is there some dumb ai narrating text on the screen? this is just annoying to players who actually want to read the tutorial. i dont know why the developer decided to have it continue into the main game and story. the gameplay has no thought put into it. all you have to do is click on robots to kill people on the same floor and then click the computers. not much strategy if all you do to "strategize" is wait long enough to catch the people. this should also have the tag "idle" because i find most of my time spent on this just waiting. 1/5 if only hacking computers in real life was this easy because i would hack into kongregate servers or whatever and remove this game off this site shake my head...
1/5 game is too slow. i dont know why some people are defending a game's faults. thats how games improve. if someone releases a trash game, but no one says anything about it, that developer is probably going to release more trash games. if someone calls them out on it, that developer can, and should, learn from their mistakes and release an update or something. in this case, this game was not updated, but his next game improved on the speed; objects activate much faster and events are quicker. i checked this games whole list of comments, and some reviews from 2009, on its release date no less, said that things should be much faster. while i have no way to know the developer looked at those comments, it is seen that he improved the speed in his next derivative of this game. that being said, complaints about this are the same; music, gameplay, and graphics arent bad, but speed needs to be faster. 1/5 if you dont like it, dont play it, which is what im doing after playing this game.
1/5 dont understand how to play this game or why the genre caught on. so i just started, and i see a penguin slide on a ramp. it barely goes anywhere and now i can buy something so i experience all that again... i dont understand the "gameplay" aspect of this. i dont know what to do and this penguin doesnt go anywhere meaningful. i get little money and am just stuck in a grinding simulator. i guess i could call this the origin of repetitive distance games. 1 theory i have for why this genre caught on is because this crap is easy to make. i expect to play 'A' or even 'B' games, but all i get are 'F' and 'F-' games... 1/5 game was probably original for its time, but today, this is a repetitive game whose only purpose is to grind and grind so you can play the same level over and over again...
1/5 game is too long. i was wondering when the first level would end. the devs are lucky that people didnt fall asleep before finishing a level. i suggest some timeline at the bottom of the screen to show how far you are in a stage. music is too bland. graphics are too disturbing. story is generic. gameplay is generic, bland, and bad. i dont know why the ship is an objective you need to protect. in my opinion, the ship should be removed, number of enemies on the screen is tripled, and their rate of fire is tripled. maybe then i could find some excitement... as it is now, 1/5 cant enjoy this too plain
1/5 the worst vertical shooter i have ever played. graphics look like they werent finished. music is pretty boring. the gameplay is trying to be some on-the-ground game but it just isnt. if it was trying to be this, just play "commando." i dont know why the developer decided to have an auto-fire mechanic. should have just let the player decide when they want to do stuff so there can be self-made challenges, like no killing. from the looks of some screens, there seems to be a lot of grind. also, the game seems really easy. 1/5 i dont recommend this game. this is a message to anyone who sees this review; play another game.
1/5 gameplay is not engaging or entertaining. i just played the first wave. it was a particularly boring experience. graphics are really dull; only 2 shades of color, no information on the screen, and simple shapes. next, gameplay is not that engaging; the music isnt hype enough, movement is slow which does not give off an intense vibe, and enemies are bland in design. if i didnt know any better, i would think im collecting cheerios from boxes. this developer should have taken some notes from "geometry wars" when it comes to this type of game. needs more variety. 1/5 everything is simplistic and nothing gives me a feel of excitement.
1/5 dont know where im going. after searching around for 3 minutes, im still in the town and no entertaining events have taken place. this dev should have just stuck with a series of rpg battles one after the other. at least then i would know what to do. because of the graphic style, all the characters look deformed. music isnt that bad. one thing i have to say is that there should be a button that, when pressed, some dialog box would pop up saying where you need to go. for now, the city is like the minotaur's labyrinth. this game may have well not loaded if it was this ambiguous... 1/5 cant fight cant win cant play
1/5 absolutely terrible design. i was eerily reminded of another game this dude made, called 'red'. here are some reasons this game and 'red' are lazy examples of games: reason 1: the first 2 levels of both games have very similar design. you click on a button for colored stripes to appear and cover the screen. next level you drag some ribbon to the other side of the screen. this is dumb, lazy design. reason 2: the menus between the games have nothing significantly different between them. seems like no original ideas were produced in making either of these games. reason 3: games feel like a copypaste job. pretty much no important changes between this and 'red'. dont even know why decided to make a sequel of this almost a year later. this would be like if i had a dog, lost that dog, then got another dog that was same type, different color, and could do some other tricks. 1/5 boring design; cant believe people actually like playing a game with no depth more than 1 time...
No game is for everyone, of course. However, most people don't agree with you, as the game is rated 4.0 after over 6000 ratings.
