Reminds me of achievement unlocked with the random achievements, but I guess a lot of games are doing that sort of thing lately. It's not all that bad, but it's missing a lot of the polish that would make it really good. Bounds are a little tricky at times, too.
I'm sorry, but this just isn't good. I love puzzle games, but this is buggy beyond belief on my mac, and the ones that do work are only moderate, except the ping level, which I liked.
Still really love this game, but I wish the lag wasn't so terrible. I feel like at least 1 in every 10 deaths was lag induced, so at this point, that's like 400 extra deaths.
I did one round of each color. As Zwolf pointed out, the game is nice artistically, but the gameplay is lacking. This is like a minigame that would be part of something bigger. It's a good minigame though.
An okay point and click, but definitely not one of my favorites. My criticisms are: It's possible to break the computer and not be able to log in. I tried a few things on it before finding the actual password, and could not enter the real password later; I had to refresh and start over. Finding tubes and switches is, in my opinion, a relatively noob way to make a point and click game. In traditional "Escape some room" style, the objectives are a little too simplistic and don't really make much sense (I need test tubes in a centrifuge machine to use a computer?) There should never be fight scenes in a point and click, almost always sucks. Plot seems to be a pretty generic Twilight Zone episode so far, and I'll be disappointed if it doesn't get spiced up. Overall, nothing new brought to any genre. Graphics are good. Sound is decent. Too easy. No one should need a walkthrough. Reading all the dialog, 15 minutes tops, but more like 10.
I found the game to be good, easy to understand, and just the right amount of difficulty on everything except the final boss. I played on a laptop with just a trackpad, and found it to not be a problem.
A few more things. Escape or space should deselect/not buy whatever is selected. These 7 levels can be beaten with 6 or less machine gun towers, 1 range tower, 2 damage towers, and no upgrades. Lastly, clicking on the chrome (not gamefield areas that are part of the menu) should not deselect the current tower, but clicking random grass should. Overall, the game is fun though. It's mostly balance that needs work at this point. I love the bird chirping. There needs to be a Pause menu and the abilities to restart and to go back to the main menu. The level select should be the main menu, not the press play button.
Unlike most tower defense games, it seems that quantity of towers seems to be better than upgrades. Actually, I'd say there is no reason to upgrade anything, at least as far as I've played Range boost towers are good, though.
I think it needs a little more variation, a little bit better graphics, and the mute and play buttons should probably be one sound on/ sound off button, but I think a version 2 of this could be popular.
I think most people are probably going to hate on this until you add some goals and make it more game like. I mean, the idea of operating system parodies have been done, but if you have some unique vision, there could easily be room for your idea.
