The Base 0 error is still in effect. It is not safe to upgrade your map room, as there is a significantly high chance that you will become unable to play afterwards. (If you feel lucky, however, go ahead.)
The REAL problem of unupdatedness isn't that this version isn't updated with content; it's that it isn't updated with bug fixes, anti-hacking devices, and support from the developers.
Everyone, please rate this game 1/5, not because of lack of updates, but because of lack of bug fixes. Every day, it seems like more and more people become unable to play due to their yards being bugged. A game like that does not deserve a high rating.
So, apparently by getting all the stars, that gets the friend's wings large enough to fly off into the distance. ... If you get the least number of stars possible, does that have them fall to their deaths instead?
*sigh* Until such time as Kixeye specifically states on their forum thread here when we will be updated, kindly stop making predictions. That will just lead to rioting when such dates do pass without updates. Don't ask Kixeye either, since they don't like making predictions either. We will get our updates eventually; be patient.
At no point is it necessary to spend money to buy shiny on this game, as shiny can also be gained slowly over time from mushrooms and only provides convenience, not power. In addition, being able to gain shiny from other players would just result in people creating dozens of alt accounts to give themselves more shiny. The shiny system for this game will never be changed, so get used to it.
Possible solution for the champion-freezing bug (I have not tested this enough to know for certain, so + if it works and - if it doesn't): Before your champion goes into battle against the opposing champion or D.A.V.E., switch to a different tab, leaving this one running, and come back after that conflict should be resolved. The champion might not freeze if unobserved.

Join the protest against Kixeye's refusal to support this game!
Attention people who complain about the wait times between building upgrades: this is a casual empire-building game. This game is not designed to be fast-paced; it is meant to encourage gameplay over a long period. You are not supposed to sit here and idly wait for upgrades to complete; rather, you can take breaks from this game to play other games. Rating this game down for the waits between buildings is like rating a shooting game down for having to reload your weapon before you can fire again. It is a matter of gameplay pacing.
There is no possible way to have your account from Facebook transferred to Kongregate! The "Facebook" Kixeye forums do not allow any discussion of Kongregate's Backyard Monsters there, so we don't care much for Facebook Backyard Monsters players here.
My observations: 1) At least the blocks don't turn into robots and try to kill you that way. 2) The longer you survive, the better the music gets. 3) If you survive long enough, you become unable to see the blocks you're standing on because the camera pans upwards faster than rows of blocks can collect.
Ninja: "Hey! I made a cannon drop on your head and you didn't die. That thing should be crushing you."
Pirate: "Actually, no, I'm immune to all but spikey things. I literally have a lethal alergy to anything with points."
Ninja: "Wierd. I'm the same way. ... Wait a minute, why are cannonballs able to deal us some damage then?"
Pirate: "Um..."
I realize that this is currently a "mouse only" game, but it would be nice if the arrow keys could be used to move the map too rather than having to drag the mouse every time.
