Major improvement over Infectiopnator, noticed a few issues though, on the last lvl I had an issue, three times in a row dropped " the infection bomb" and no one died, no zombies, nothing, lvl over, day wasted.
To that end I'd like to see maybe an aiming reticle, some kind of spot that highlights what ppl will be zombified when you click, and then maybe an upgrade to increase the size of the infection area.
I like the upgrade system, its a littler differnet then what you usually see, but the game itself is bland, it lacks something interesting, and the difficulty curve takes a really steep swing towards the end. The level starting with the "melting nautilus" is where it just gets ridiculous. With all damage, armor, and regen, and most bomb upgrades its damn near impossible. The aliens with the laser beams need their damage nerfed down bad.
Played through a few times, fun game, but needs tweaking, I think. There seems to be a few useless stats, like charisma, doesnt seem to do much of anything. Also, mages seem to get somewhat boned, they need some love me thinks.
Ive come back to this game time and time again as its been reworked and I always have the same complaint, the difficulty ramps up way to fast. The entire game is based around your damage and there's times where no matter what you do you have no way to improve you damage.
Personally I think the weapon system needs to be simplified and the stats of the weapon dictated by a player controlled upgrade system. This way you arent at the mercy of the game.
The art and flow of the game is really good, but in general its quite boring. Its something we've seen a million times over, it needs to have a flair that makes it all its own, because right now its kinda like mario with chicknes and eggs instead of mushrooms and coins.
For whatever reason you got a lot of undo hate for this game, I liked it. Ive played a lot of bad turret defenders, and this sure aint one of em. There is a lot of bugs, but its a damn good start.
There is the issue of it being easy, which I do agree, and there's one of two ways to fix that as I see it, either increase the number of baddies, but a lot, like 5x or so, so that you really gotta work, or scale everything back in quality, and price, but increase the number of purchases needed to max, that way it takes more time and more money to get the same end result.
Another glitch I found that I didnt see listed, with the grenade launcher, sometimes it just doesnt hit, Ive clicked dead on and no damage, I only noticed this with the planes, ghosts, and giants, little guys I didnt notice.
I hope you to a version 2, I see this being one of the next great turret defenders, though the Bunny Invasion series might still be the best :o
Fun, I the minimalist approach, the style, the controls, but the random generation, while good for replay value, tends to botch things up. You'll get two platforms and you either jump over the obstacle and miss the next platform, or you hit the obstacle, and lose to much speed to make the next platform. It only seems to be on rare occasions, but still about the only problem I can see.
I like the game, the idea, the style, the controls, even the angle changes, but for god sake you need to make the checkpoints just drive through em, after the second one its going way to fast to maneuver properly to hit one of them
This is a fun variation the base defender game but there are a lot of oversights. First you need a better movement system. You've hot keyed troop selection, hotkey troop movement. Use the arrow keys to have select troops move to that wall.
Secondly, put some god dammed description on the store. After saving up for 6 lvls to buy a machine gun I end up very disappointed to find out it only attacks air targets.
Finally target priority. This is a common practice in most defense games now. Be able to click a soldier and have him target strongest or weakest targets. This would allow you some big of control during a fight that way while one big bug is kicking your face in your troops are diddling away time shooting the anklebiters.
Very well designed on the random level generator, but the game overall isnt fun, its frustrating. A well made game that isnt fun really isnt a game, its just a waste of time.
