This feels like a modern version of a classic. Except for the fact that I've never seen this as a classic. Great game, great mechanics, the only thing I'd like to see improved is some kind of warning. Maybe it's me, but you basically don't have any proper to response when there's a snake appearing next to the tile your own (when on the outside tiles).
Very interesting graphics with the rotating block landing right every time, really nicely done. I do think it's hard to really jump accurately, maybe it's just me, but it sometimes seems a bit slow in response when in air.
Bug: A frozen enemy fell on the flame of a two flame barrier (where it moves when one flame is frozen) and now the entire game is frozen (no pun intended) except for the animations there is no movement. The controls don't respond, the enemy block remains on the screen as is the flame on which it rests. Maybe you could fix it? Great game btw.
What a great concept, unless you're deaf, but hey who plays The Listener when they're deaf. I'd love to see this develloped into a more complete game, maybe some sort of level/story you go through where listening (like here) is key. I think this could be a great game when it is more complete. Love it so far!
Excuse the blunt comments that went ahead of me. While I do agree that this is not a game that necessarily attract me (it's basically a do a few clicks and then you've pretty much done as much as you can do), I do think that the gameplay is quite efficient. Good sound and nice graphical touches for a first game. I do however would like to see something new and refreshing. Maybe you could transfer the flipping mechanism to a new format where you have a limited number of clicks to create certain shapes in pre-set levels. It's a good start with the coding. Very fluent, just the game itself isn't really... it. I hope this motivates you more than the inyourface comments before me.
Not a bad start, there's little to get this game going though, but I suspect this was just a test of some sort to get used to making a game. If so, maybe you could expand this more with powerups, also, let the bad guys appear outside the area and walk in or create some sort of warning before spawning. It is a bit annoying to be running away from red guys when there spawns one just in front of you.
I kinda liked it. Just one thing, when two clouds are close to each other, it's sometimes hard to select one if the other is massive (>40). Maybe this could be improved?
@Killerkirb, the goal is not the length you run, but the achievements you get. Something shown really clear when you press retry after completing and do nothing.
"Sir, there's a floating head causing havoc everywhere." | "And what do you suggest we do about it, Lieutenant?" | "Maybe we could give him his body back?" | "... That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard."
Beautiful level-design, love the old-school look. Also, the game play is very inventive. Don't recall ever playing with a character who can move by shooting and can only rotate. Creates some very intereresting game play methods. Love it!
Maybe we can make it more responsive. Anyway we will definitely try to. Thanks for the feedback.
