Monsters and humans used to be at war...until humans started training monsters to beat the crap out of each other and now they're all buddy-buddy. You've gotta wonder if the monsters are really happy with the whole setup or if this is some kind of George Orwelle thing.
So, hold on here. The guy getting drunk had over $2,000 sitting on the bar...and he was going to drink until his money ran out...with a $2.00 drink special? By the time he finished his alcohol would be .10% blood!
They coeds used to call me the sticky ninja in college, but it had nothing to do with my wall climbing ability. Actually, wait, I shouldn't be talking about this. I think there may still be a warrant out somewhere.
Here's a suggested feature for ya: The ability to buy an uzi (or some other automatic weapon) for the target range. I'd pay $2,000,000 for it, seriously.
How about not having the target range target move until you actually start a combo? It doesn't help my mood any when I screw up a combo and have to fumble around for five seconds trying to start the next one.
I am somewhat interested in these "training fights" I keep hearing so much about. Alas, there is no button on which I can click to access them and no further guidance on how to find them. I suspect that they may, perhaps, not be available in hardcore mode. If that's the case then, I dunno, actually TELLING ME THAT might be a good idea. Or at least remove the tips that keep ordering me to train.
I like the combat and leveling system. Would like to see more room to grow and level up. For most of the characters it seems like it's best to focus on maxing out one or two of their skills and ignore attributes; the only real exception is you probably want to throw a point or two at improving Angela's and Simon's abysmal health. Maybe for a sequel you could make level-ups more infrequent and give separate skill and attribute points? I also don't like that the game is so darned linear. A set number of combats played in a set order with a set party with set points where you level up equals a set amount of fun. Still, 4/5; I wouldn't bother making so many suggestions if I didn't like the game.
Not a fan of the level 1 gold medal. It requires a risky bid to take both the Ukraine and the Middle East on your first turn (what is that, like a 25% chance? Maybe even less?), and even then you're not guaranteed to advance when you first attack your opponent in Indonesia. In my opinion 7 turns is plenty fast enough to earn a gold medal. I want to be rewarded for using good strategy, not for constantly restarting a level until the dice finally roll in my favor.
Pro tip: Etheriea is by far the best hero, especially for those later levels. The regen spell is critical for keeping your epic units alive against even more epic bosses, and you don't want to have to waste a unit slot on, say, vampires just so you can cast it.
Here's an idea that might make the slot machine quests less frustrating. Allow players to lock the reels, like on a real slot machine. For balancing purposes, you might have to pay $20 instead of $10 for a locked reel spin, you couldn't lock reels twice in a row, and you could only lock reels if your original spin didn't win anything.
Man, those skool quests are just about impossible unless you have fast fingers and "cheat" with a calculator...or you're an autistic savant with synesthesia.
Blade Boomerang + Speed Reload = whirling death. Add on Pistol Whip and Bullet Shield and you're pretty much an invincible blade hurling ninja of doom.
Might want to tweak your fonts. All the lowercase f's look like p's for a lot of the smaller text. Makes it seem like the tutorial lady has a weird speech impediment.
