The physics engine isn't bad, and it reminds me of the games from "Teagames" (which in itself is nice), but the fact that the levels are played more from memorizing what's about to come and not really reacting to the environment spoils the fun quite some. Also, trying to add puzzle-like elements in a riding game doesn't work for me (the pieces of wood you've got to make fall to create a bridge, for example). A bit more polishing and it could be an enjoyable timewaster.
I'm not a developer, and I'll never be. In the same way, I'm not a car maker, and I'll never be. This being said, I know how to appreciate a finely tuned sportscar, and I can drive decently at high speeds on a circuit (with the certifications to back that claim, mind you)... and I can also spot a "lemon" a mile away. And this "game" does indeed smell lemony SEVERAL mils away. Yuck. Please remove this from Kong.
Mmhhh.... Strange. I only added one line, completely unrelated to the other ones I drew previously and the sphere/alien/whatever does not follow the same path as the three previous times. Methinks the physics engine needs a serious revamping. 2/5
Nope DubiousMerit, there must be 100, since I got 97 of them ;o). Good escape game, but the pixel hunting can be tedious at times (clicked totally by accident on the screwdriver, I didn't even glimpsed it before, without mentioned that frigging green gem).
It's "funny" how many games make it past the 4.0 mark while using the Kong API and NEVER get any badge attached to them, while a game rated at 3.92 (and I can't for the life of me know why, even after I made it until jump 71 & lost my 2 groupies for the umpteenth time) not only gets 3 badges attached but gets "Badge of the Day" twice... "Funny", indeed... Oh, by the way: 1/5, simply because nothing can be purchased without grinding for ages. We come here to enjoy games and waste some time, not to repeat the same action again and again in the hopes of reaching a required number (does that sound like too much like work to anyone else?)...
I want to like it, since it looks like a simple and enjoyable timewaster even my 4 1/2 years old son could have fun with, BUT it lags so much I ragequit everytime I attempt one of the additional challenges (because even though the movements lag, the time counter does not :o/...). 2/5, sorry.
Devilic_Player: Go to the bottom of the stage, let the bottom cannon fire, than pause as soon as the cannonball is past the staircase. Hop on the cannonball and unpause quickly. Ride the cannonball for two screens, and hop off it on the first step of the next staircase. timing is essential here. Personally, I'm two screens later, trying to figure out how to pass the knight...
Really really liked it, as any other game Pastelgames has published on Kong. By the way, if you don't find all the bullets before going down the lift shaft, you can always look on top of the locker area (where you pick the rifle): there'll be a box with three bullets and a notebook. Hope this helps. 5/5, by the way.
First code is on the video screen on the right of the first entrance door (at the very beginning), the second is on the note that drops from one of the cactus plants on the flower stand, in the entrance. Love those "Sneak Thief" games, but this one felt a bit less interesting... Perhaps because there's not much instruction at the very beginning, and we've got to stumble our way until we finally find the blueprints? Maybe...
Now don't get me wrong, I like this game. I only played the first level, but I do like it. It's actually epic in it's own way. However, could the Dev. please move his a**... erm... buttocks, and implement an alternate control to the WASD-only one? Please?
I genuinely enjoyed the game and was ready to give it 4/5 until, as many others, I tried to view what achievements I had managed to obtain... which promptly lead to tabs opening endlessly. I tried on Firefox and Chrome, same result (IE... didn't even try, why bother?). Don't have Opera installed on my work machine, so I can't tell for that browser. Anyway, 1/5 for that MAJOR glitch.
I'll give this game 2/5 simply for daring to put a free version of what's mostly a commercial game. But ONLY 2/5, because the realisation isn't that good.
Do bad car drivers get rid of their cars because their bad? That's the same deal with my game. It's bad. It's staying up.
