I appreciate having a confirm screen for retreating but... Confirm screens are supposed to have a "never-mind" option. There is only Okay as an option...
There really needs to be a system for multiple mages fighting at the same time. For example, when defending/attacking the jail, it's supposed to be like a 3v3 fight or something. It'd make more sense for there to be a screen with a 3v3 fight in it, to simulate if you actually ARE strong enough to turn the tide alone. Also, there are several times when it is supposed to be a several-against-you fight. It would make more sense if you had to actually fight them at the same time. Otherwise the dialog of "he can't take us all" makes no sense, unless you made it so your hp and mp totals carry over from fight to fight if you do them consecutively.
It would be very useful to be able to sell the upgrades back so you can rebuy, and have a stats sheet where you can see your current mods with upgrades. Also, why are all the upgrades in multiples of 3 if the max money is 20? No matter how you spend it, you will always have some left over. seems like they should be in multiples of 2 or have one of the maps give out 2 money, making the total 21.
The main foe should be red, the third combatant should have a black background in the game, like it does on the map, and the neutrals should have a white or other neutral color background.
jshalabaso has a wonderful idea, at least indirectly... you should SHOW the graveyard or pile of pixels that were "killed" during the corse of the game... and have it actually change sizes depending on how many you killed....
Also, an upgrade system would be nice. Two, actually; one for the towers themselves, and another for things such as re-targeting abilities after the main target dies, small passive cash gain, and other gobal abilities.
I see one thing that may be a GLITCH though. On the skill tree screen Chronos's ability is to "control time and attack at a high speed", but on the team assembly screen his ability is "Attacks can penetrate all opponents". As far as i can tell, his attacks do NOT penetrate all oppoents. Although he has a kinda high attack speed, you may want to check if his ability is working, as it is hard to tell if they are.
This game has an annoying balance issue. The game is balanced so you HAVE to use the casino in order to keep up with everything. The drinks should not get more expensive the better you get; that simply does not make any sense. This one issue throws the entire economy off; the choice is not between using drinks to get better, buying great shoes, or improving your lifestyle as it should be. The choice is between buying a single drink, maintaining your shoe level, or going into a match with no shoes, no drinks, and half an energy bar in order to buy an appartment, and that is at 4 star rating. Also, when you are sponsored by a shoe or drink company, would it not make sense for them to give you some of their product for free occasionally so you can be seen using it?
OKAY, in under 2 minutes i already understand that this is a highly flawed game. Hey a grenade? i will ignore the explody part of it and use the pin to picklock! What? a second locked door and i didn't lose the pin? I must need to find a key! Oh, look a time machine! I shall take the handle from it rather than go back in time to before the door were locked, or after the authorities have come and gone, and then safely escape! Bah, humbug.
And after all that the "undefeated champion" is... THAT? The only way he is better than all the other competitors is his fireproof and hover. If he were to race on ANY OTHER LEVEL, he would be unable to win every single time. There is no way he would get TO that point undefeated, meaning this storyline is bull. Congradulations, both the game and the story are inferior to its prequels- you just made FF Fourteen. Or Twelve. Let's go with twelve- do us a favor and don't make 14.
Why have a REQUIREMENT for 150 everything to go vs the ultimate duck? that's just stupid! You should simply have the race involve all the elements and have the ultimate duck have 149 everything. Therefore, you would need 150 everything to win, but it would make sense that he is undefeated because he doesn't ensure that his opponent is better than him before accepting a challenge. Merely getting to him should let you race him with whatever duck you want.
No. But her arm was in a cast.
