found it on the forums, thanks anyway. Also, to the whiners: yes, it's very luck-based; yes, you can first-turn lose several challenges; yes, it annoys me too. and USUALLY I'd be complaining with you. But "impossible" badges are meant to be that annoying. The game itself is great, but the challenge mode sucks, and that's why the challenges have the impossible badge. So no whining!
anyone know how to beat 20? I've tried taint, Betrayal, City (while he's already insane), and Yog-Sogoth (while his sanity is high enough to kill him).
only real complaint is that I can't use a bow and a crossbow, I'd like to be able to switch between them, but it says "CAN'T USE TWO RANGED WEAPONS"... why not? Also, would be nice to try to upgrade equipment without having to unequip it first, or at least be able to unequip at the forge.
erm, johnjohn, you know the game creator doesn't get to add badges. Kongregate does that for some of their highest rated games. Although I imagine this game will probably get them if it has the code in it to allow Kong to add them, it's rated 4.2 after 325,000 game plays..
AH, you don't get awards or badges in multiplayer! the description should really be updated to reflect that. I was playing with my friend to double our chances of getting the 3000 in one turn badge... I did it (3700)... no badge at end of game :(
got to dock it for the horrible controls, especially on the timing based levels; I understand that it's more about the message than the gameplay, but in this case the gameplay is detracting from the message - the character often fails to jump on a slope, which is what a round ball of light creates is slopes, so instead of progressing the story (I'm in the room with the messages written EVERYWHERE right now, like 27 or 28) I just keep falling to my death, although I've worked out how to complete the level, it's just rinse-and-repeat until the character jumps when I press up. Pulled me completely out of the awesome story. Still 4/5, would be 5/5 if pressing the up button made me jump > 50% of the time.
am completely stuck on 22, any help? I can make the fake light light up the other, and drop down to the real light, and I can even strand myself under the left non-interactable light while lighting up the top pedestal again... but I can't find the key and can't get back up top with a real light.
I need to save 3 more animals for the last badge. I have 1 death each at 1-3,1-4, 2-1, 2-2, 3-2, and 5-2; and 2 deaths at 3-3. Any suggestions on where I might be able to save a few?
KungFuJesus - thanks for the hint on 3, it was nice. MUCH easier than the way you're "supposed" to do it, lol. Anyone got any help on 18? I'm completely stuck... but I thought of something while typing, lol, here's hoping.
yeah, level 3 is stupid. I understand the basic premise of how to complete it in three deaths, but the controls aren't tight enough to allow me to make three consecutive precision jumps onto targets that move when I land on them and give very little control over where they end up... also, it's really bad puzzle design to make a puzzle that frustrating and then add some time waster before it (the green key) to make each attempt take 3x as long.
46 is just too hard, got to lower my rating. Being stuck on one level for 3 hours is just stupid. Possible improvements: SOME way to decide if you're moving or shooting, or possibly just make it always do both; give the circles an outline so we can tell where the edges of one circle are inside another circle (you can't aim for the center on 46 because you can't tell where it is with that many circles in play at a time)
Terivin - I noticed that occasionally the King of Hell's ground-pound did exactly 500 damage to my castle regardless of range. It seems like it hits a random selection of your units, and can include your castle. jotarkka - you're right, it's definitely absorb: he GAINS health from magic or ranged attacks. Turn off your auto-attack from the tower and don't summon wizards or archers. Not sure about siege weapons, though. Lots of Paladins, Knights, and Squires or your race's equivalent. Everyone: ARGH I noticed the last boss gaining health from my wizards and tried to let him move forward to kill them... game froze.... I hadn't saved since chapter 14 :(
hey, does anyone know if heroes can move diagonally? like, out of any four blocks, if the northeast and southwest are both dug out, can they get through there or not? Will make a big difference to my strat, lol.
"1/5 The impossible is too hard. " dont' rate the game based on the badges, that's Kongregate's doing, not part of the game. Also, it's called impossible for a reason.
yeah, I had the whole web disintegrate for no apparent reason. The ability to clear the queue if something comes up you need to deal with would be nice too. A queen bee lands in your web and you've been preparing for a hummingbird and got like 22 weblines queued up with snacks in-between, you're screwed.
