Okay after playing for a few hours I have a revised opinion. It's a decent game. I did see that you can press a button to cancel movement patterns. I didn't find a way to move the map around without having to manually drag, which is a game killer for me. When you have half the map under your control, you need to be able to swiftly move your vision around the board. The AI needs better coding. After an hour in game and accumulating control of 50% of the board. I noticed a white AI in the corner with several hundred units, not playing offensive at all. Then from nowhere it sends hundreds of units everywhere, ending the game. Even with bombs, the gold accumulation rate is so slow not even bomb spamming could stop that. The chat system only shows 1 message at a time. Walls are overpowered. You can literally end someones game by boxing them in with walls since bombs don't damage them and it takes 25 troops just to kill the wall, not including troops on that tile.
Hi HollowedHearts! Thank you for your oppinion :)
I know the game is not perfect yet. I'll see if I can find a way to make the moving around the map better.
I don;t know about the problems with the AI, I haven't noticed that yet. Did this happen once, or more often?
I do not agree with you that walls are overpowered. Maybe your tactic works for someone who just started, but it won't work for a larger player.
I'll look into the gold production rate. :)
Thanks again!

Hm. It does load but after a long time. The game definitely has potential but the current implementation is poor. My #1 most hated thing is the movement. Their needs to be a way to cancel movement paths. If you drag left then right. The soldiers will endlessly walk between the two paths. When you have paths spanning 10-20+ tiles, it gets really frustrating to have to constantly try and fix the mistakes you made. 2nd is screen view. From what I could tell, the only way to move where on screen you're viewing is the manually drag the box around on the minimap. It'd be better to let you move the screen around by something like holding down right click while dragging mouse.
Didn't enjoy this game for may reasons. 1) Game too big for screen. You say it's a rebalanced a revisited version. If that means you took the game down to fix it, I'd have thought common sense would have you fix the too big screen size. 2) Font is hard to read. Again, if you made changes to this game. I question why something that blatant was not addressed. 3) Why is it a Unity game? Game has very little graphical elements, I'd prefer a non Unity version. 4) Game has very little explanation. I don't know what I'm doing from the start. It might have been explained, but that ungodly font sunk that ship. 5) Game has no protection against auto-clickers. It's 2015, anti auto-clicker protection isn't hard to implement. If you are going to go to the length of putting in a leaderboards, then you need to put in anti-cheating measures. Some people actually like going for those top 10 spots, but like 99% of idle game on kong. They are ruined by cheaters.
1) We like big screens! Anyway it is too big only for low resolutions. Maybe in future we can add an option to decrease the screen size (you could always zoom out the browser zoom) 2) We like the font: it give the game atmosphere and we want our games to have atmosphere even if it is an idle game. 3) Unity help us to develop better games for more platforms easly and in less time. Once the WebGL compiler of Unity will be stable enough we will start releasing games only compiled in HTML5. 5) The problems of leaderboards it is not for autoclicker but is of hack tools that permits to send statistics to kongregate without even paly the game (anyway we really don't understand why people use this kind of tool: where is the fun of playing a game?)
Decent game, but I'm having trouble understanding anything with that horrendous font. If nothing else, that will lose you a lot of players alone. I do see what some mean about the speed being too slow at first. But before anything else, fixxxxxxxxxxx the font. I'm ready to hit the X button in the first 5 minutes. It gives me a headache.
As one of the few people who actively has been playing this game since day one without cheating(scripts, auto clickers). I can say this game is horribly unbalanced. Progress at first is fast, then it hits a brick wall. Then a wall made of diamonds. Then a wall made of stuff that juts can't be broken. Once you get to the 6th/7th/8th cars, it slows to the point of where you are waiting several days/upwards of a week to make the next big purchase. In it's current state, you almost need an auto clicker to get anywhere.
Decent game. Nothing special about it. Pretty much a copy + paste of every other "archer sits on a tower and attacks waves of enemies" game. If the dev is just starting out, it's a decent first game. Although if this dev is an established company, then this is just a disgrace. Not a single feature in the game makes it stand out. Plain upgrades, plain graphics, no bosses, questionable weapon choices. Why is their a 2nd bow? The 3rd bow takes like 2 minutes more to earn, so there is no reason at all to purchase the 2nd bow. I only completed it in hopes it will get a badge or two soon. Otherwise, there is no reason to spend more than 5 minutes on this game. 2/5
Around the level 60-70 mark, the game starts to be come unplayable. As in no matter what you do, even the standard mobs are taking upwards of 20-30% of my HP out in 1 hit. I have all orange gear and all skills leveled very high. It's not a question of clicking or getting better gear, it's an issue of the game not being balanced well at all into the higher levels. The character desperately needs a way to increase defense. Also, the bug with characters freezing is not gone. I come back every 10 or 20 minutes to find my guy frozen in place.
On the 3rd page of skills, the 5th item is "effects". It says it increases "Duration(secs)". I take that as it adds x number of seconds on to the duration of scrolls. I have it leveled up to 46, stating "Duration(secs): 46". Now that looks quite a bit like it's saying my scroll duration will receive a 46 second increase. So I go to use a scroll and the time is increased by maybe 3 seconds. This game.... needs quite a bit of fixing.
Game also has scaling issues. I'm at level 29 currently and without an auto-clicker, my character can't stay alive for more than 4 or 5 fights(If I run into a boss it's insta death). Needs some way to increase defense from early on.
If you do not want to click - do not click. Game adjust to you. Gradually the character will cope with all the problems on their own. Only, you need to wear new things and learn the skills of the character. The more you help the character in combat, the more it depends on you. And for a long time will be helpless if you stop to help him.
Also, there is no need to fear death. This is not the end of the game, you will lose some money (a certain percentage). This is a fee for something that you do not help the character. The more you die, the less will lose money.
My biggest problem is how the inventory works. When we click on a specific item tab(weapon, helm, armor, etc), the items should be auto sorted from biggest stat gain > lowest stat gain. It's frustrating having to sort through dozens of items every few minutes to find which one is the best. Also really needs a option to sort what type of items are picked up. At the point of where I'm getting blue+ items constantly, it's also frustrating to have to click 100+ trash items to get rid of the "new" thing so that I can sell them at towns.
In sorting, there are some nuances that I can not foresee. For example, it is better to 4% chance of lightning or a 3% chance of cure. I do not know which option is preferable for the player. On this left it to the discretion of the player and did not make such filters.
Gradually the character will find items with a good quality, and will cease to find items with low quality.
In the near update I will add the button to disable the "new" in all subjects.
Would be nice if players got something like +25% gold for beating a level without taking damage with how the homing attacks of enemies in a vertical line make it extremely difficult if not next to impossible to not get hit in certain situations.
How do I get extra equipment slots? All my guys are over lv600 but they all still have 1 slot. Reddit said a merchant comes by every now and then for it but it won't show for me. I have the extra room purchased, I've had the game up for hours and he just will not show up.
The bonuses we got from our import codes were pretty disappointing. I didn't even get to use my most previous code because you said you would upload it as a brand new game and let us continue playing the old one. I open the game to find you hard reset everyone so I couldn't get my most recent import code.
I didn't reset the saves over there, most people have been able to export with no issues. If you PM me what world you were on I'll give you a code though :)
Needs mass purchase option for adding new layers. When I have trillions of money, with the new layers not even costing a single billion after several thousand layers. It really does hurt the hand to have to click a button thousands of times over for little benefit.
Game is quite unbalanced in terms of progression. Getting to the first prestige takes a little while, but as soon as you hit it, you start prestiging every 5 minutes. At this point, it's more about how fast I can spend money on upgrades then it is waiting for the money to come in. I do like the game though, having fun running through resets.
Once I realize you can press control when buying hero upgrades to show higher purchase amounts, the game took off. Buying 1 million per click compared to thousands of increments of 50 sure is a time saver.
I see what people mean by the slow timing turning people away from the game. When I know I'm going to go through a battle without even getting scratched, it is frustrating to have to waste countless seconds and minutes for each attack animation to go through. Needs to be options for sped up or instant/skipped animations. If nothing else, that is the one reason why I won't be playing again. Sure it'll probably be fixed soon, but with a big release like this, that seems like something that should definitely have been squashed during the development. That or the devs have the patience of monks.
