Nice game, bit too grindy at the void level. All I want is to maximize skills, need 2 more points but all I have is the same level to repeat over and over.
Will comment again to better explain what happened to me: If you press and hold D to go forward and click out of the screen while still pressing D, your char keeps on going forward FOREVER, even if you click back and even if you DOUBLE CLICK as the dev said "it's the way it works in every kong game" (which is NOT, btw). Even if you pause, even if you beat the wave and upgrade, the next wave the char is STILL MOVING FORWARD. Don't blame this on USER ERROR, IT'S A BUG.
I don't know what to tell you. I have been trying to replicate this glitch and when I click the outside of the screen the character does in fact keep moving forward. When I double click on the screen there is a short delay and then I can regain full control over the character when I move him back and forth. Sorry for any inconvenience on your end. I just cant replicate what you are saying therefore I can not fix what I can not see. Maybe click the screen some more? Did you try moving the character back and forth after you clicked back on the screen? Also, there is no use for the mouse during combat so I do not see this happening to most players, unless they are deliberately trying to find bugs or maybe trying to adjust the screen position and accidentally hit the mouse button.
Interesting concept but I clicked out of the screen at wave 5 and when I clicked back, my character would not move forward anymore. I hit esc to restart and it restarted from the tutorial. 1/5 Please implement progress saving.
I just tried this on every single wave. You have to DOUBLE CLICK to get back to the game controls. I think it works this way for every game on Kongregate. (just check a few games and it was the same)
This is a short high score chaser. The max time a run can take is just under 9 minutes and that is with getting every single Time power-up. Most people's runs will take around 6-7 minutes the first time through. I am sorry that losing 7 minutes of progress warranted a 1 out 5 in your opinion. Thanks for the play :)
Great game. A cool thing to add would be to gray out the clues that are 100% fulfilled, example: If a yellow square 1 has 1 bomb flagged and its other 3 sides are empty, it grays out. Some big levels full of clues would benefit from this.
Gameplay is easily 5/5... Some things could be better like the intro / outro design and font choice, weird parallax, annoying cannon sounds, achievements option not in-game but actually redirecting you to Y8.com (yeah, of course I'll register there and beat the game again just to get the achievements... nope!) and cinematic mode zooming but messing with the image quality. Still, as I said, mechanics are nice and game design is solid. Very fun game.
Needs a lot of improvement... Does not deserve the current 3.80 score at all with this lag that builds up (wasn't there until like, end of stage 2), bugs where cats get stuck...
This game needs a cash sink. I maxed everything except buffs (4 left) and I simply cannot beat any remaining stages. I get a lot of useless cash that I wish I could spend on something at this point...
Impossible to play without at least pen and paper. No clues, nothing. Too hard / frustrating. On the eyes room I clicked randomly and it opened, I didn't even figure out what was going on. Then on the knight room I had to google search a chart for a 5x5 knight's tour (and you assume everybody knows chess). Cannot understand the glyph order logic on the moving rooms. I know how it works mechanically, but I'd have to kind of guess the right positions and if I'm wrong it will be a pain to redo it all. That's enough for me. People have different levels of abstract logical thinking, and a game like this should consider that and provide clues or something.
I really want to like this game, and gave it another shot after the lock camera update. But still, the beginning of the game is so slow that dying is a major bummer. Maybe a key to hold and increase speed or something, or some kind of checkpoint...
Because the mobile version has many levels that use capabilities of a phone like tilting the device.
(so if you can, make sure you check the free mobile version too, there is also something else inside at the end...)
Amazing gameplay, too bad there's a few cluncky commands like clicks not responding on the first try and not the most intuitive rotation method (instead of you actually having to draw a circle with the mouse, always rotating clockwise when you drag the mouse left and always rotating CC when you drag the mouse right is the best method in my opinion). Plus, now I found out this is not an original idea, it's a "modified copy" of another game. Still, 3/5. Boy, really wanted to give it a 5. Don't remember the last time I liked a game this much.
I love how the final screen says "Inversion" but there's already a game with that name so the dev had to change it in order to upload here, lol
The concept is fun but nothing ground-breaking in its essence. But since the game is short, pretty and overall well designed and implemented it doesn't matter that much.
I think I found a minor bug that send me to the start of the stage as I fell on an arrow, but after 3 attempts I decided to change my direction as I was about to touch the arrow and it worked.
4/5
