I don't know what happened, but when I finished one level the game started loading dozens of copies of the sponsor site at once, stopping after some batch and resuming as soon as I focussed back on the game's tab.
It turns out the girl is a figment of his imagination he concocted in an interview with a psychologist and he is a ghost and also Keyser Soze and a modern superhero and aliens invaded a planet that was Earth all along but he defeated them with water. Directed by M. Night Shyamalan.
Turns out from the dev comments that http://tlaststand.wikia.com is the right URL and not a typo; http://thelaststand.wikia.com has been defaced with all sorts of NSFW stuff - visit only if you hate your eyes.
Is there anything to do about the mines when they spawn at the edge of a level? Sometimes leaving a level seems to reset them (possibly when they're too close to where you enter), but it doesn't work most of the time. Trying to do a pacifist run is made really difficult when you have no choice but to take the fifty damage and alert everyone.
Why are the enemies harder to kill than the ship? Hit them in the head with a cannonball and they shrug it off, ship gets touched and is sunk instantly.
Pretty solid. My only complaint is that the ranking system appears to be a simple "No. of enemies/Wave time" ratio, at least when you kill all enemies. It doesn't appear to factor in difficulty of the enemies, nor forced wave times (like enemies only spawning after 10 seconds). This means that getting Lord of Demons is incredibly easy on the green infantry spam level, and next to impossible on most other levels.
Thanks :)
For the ranking system it's true, it's a simple ratio and it's not about the difficulty of the wave. I understand that it's not the best choice but I wanted something simple. I don't think that I will change this in this game but I'll try to improve it for my future games :)
I would serenade you from a balcony if you made spikes not kill you when you walked into them. I don't mind spikes that point up killing you if you fall from above. In general if the spike normal dot the character's velocity normal (or relative velocity for moving spikes) is > ~0.1, it should kill you.
