Enemy: "Okay men, we're going to take over the beach. But because we're real gentlemen, don't destroy anything." Me: "Okay men, because we now have clearance to use weapons in a public space, bomb everything. But save the civilians; I want medals for bombing everything."
The problem is that unlike your game, Super Meat Boy had precise controls; that is to say, you could control exactly how high you could jump. You could even do very tiny hops using the game, it was so precise. Also in Super Meat Boy, the levels were designed so you had to make the jumps at the right time.... while you kept running. This game makes you have to stop running to perform jumps and stay alive. I would suggest improving the character to perform precise jumps. For that, I would increase the frame rate and then add a function that runs when you let go of the jump button so the character descends instead. Until then, though, 1/5. I'm sorry, but that is how badly the game needs improvement.
Are you kidding me? I welcome this constructive criticism with wide open arms :) Thank you so very much for giving precise information for improvement. We will implement this. You're MORE than welcome to offer another plate of it when we update. Very much appreciated!!! This isn't about a rating, this is about improvement.
You know, the character could be schizophrenic. But you don't know where Xerxes went the night she disappeared. Could you find Xerxes and kill her when she could be anywhere around, or even outside, the campus? Dave has a handwriting test, Dave somehow knows the way around the school from day one (the tutorials), and Dave happens to just suddenly notice a lump in the school playing field. The school has a history of children getting killed by other students, so Dave could be a demon that arose when Thomas was killed. He vowed to avenge the other kids, who all were involved in his death. Dave possessed other people to kill the children. (Remember how at the party he was asking about delivering vengeance on them all? He could have trying to possess you because you were vulnerable then.) He's a demon, so he could appear to anybody in any form; for example Xerxes might have seen Dave as Energor, and for the player it was simply your likeness.
Tips: Start by maxing out initial and max mana, then move on to maxing out mana gain per kill and gem creation mana cost. You can then try maxing out mana regen. In battles, build a grade 3 and grade 2 gem, place the grade 2 gem in a tower before the grade 3 gem. Then spam ten waves to get more mana to build some more towers. Don't worry if some monsters get through.
Build nine towers for 40,000 points bonus, then mass buy grade 1 gems (press C, then hold Ctrl and click on the grade 1 gem.) Gem-bomb for the rest of the battle. Never, EVER let your mana max out, otherwise some of the mana gained from monster kills will go to waste. If necessary, build trenches near high grade gems if too many monsters are coming through. + this for all to see please.
I have a radio that hacks channels, fists that break my windshield in two shots and a gun that does about the same thing. They have an army that only fires in one direction, guns that break windshields in fifty shots, helis which refuse to fire at my car from behind (and so smash into freeway signs), and hackable radio. Guess who wins.
I think the one really bad thing about the game, made even worse with the impossible badge, is that there is a "No Deaths" mode. If you die once in a world (and this is easy), it would be nice to automatically start from the beginning, rather than quitting and choosing the world again.
I think the minigames should have high-scores and as you get better, you should be able to better in the mini-games and get better high scores. Also training races should be allowed. Otherwise, you can't see how well your duck will do in a race, will you?
Awkward moment: You're at the top floor of the hospital, and zombies come onto the floor from above. And you're like: "But this is the top floor! You can't go *above* the top floor to drop down from above! S***! Some zombies."
Fun fact: A sharpened fire axe (46 damage) is marginally better damage-wise than the unlockable battle axe (45 damage). I suppose sharpening things does make a difference then.
You know, if they had decided to make the entire complex and the SWAT vests out of the titanium hybrid thing, they wouldn't need to worry about ninjas mysteriously escaping from cells through vents and shooting down SWAT units.
