Forget a Veil of truth and lies, I was actually sort of wishing for the Angels to start moving. (For those not in the know, just watch the episode "Blink" of Doctor Who [It's episode 10 of the third series]. Don't worry, non-geeks or non-fans, it has virtually zero science fiction in it, but it is guaranteed to scare the crap out of anyone watching. And then you'll know why I was disappointed.)
So basically they're trying to go past the Veil that seperates truth from lies to somehow find the truth. But if they go past the Veil, they won't know the truth from lies. So how will they know if the Truth beyond the Veil of truth and lies is the truth or a lie that looks like the truth?... I may have overthought this.
This is a perfect builder simulator: you'll quit a contract halfway through to go to one that is more profitable, and then come back later when you feel like it knowing rival builders are keeping the job alive doing the work you didn't finish.
I think a better way to code this AI would be with heuristic programming. The basic premise: Write a class that has a default number variable that reflects the piece's strength. Then apply that variable to all possible moves and determine what piece should be moved next. But consider the flag an immovable piece and add a very high, very negative value (negative infinity if you can) and focus on protecting the piece. I'm writing this because in some instances the pieces won't block opposing pieces that will get to the flag on the next turn, which is a bit disappointing. Other than that, a pretty solid job and a pretty good take on a Chess-like. 5/5
I played straight off the dot on Intermediate, and let me tell you it is the most gratifying hour I have ever had. A few tips for the final boss if you're not playing on the wuss setting: It is possible to beat him without getting hit. I did it when I figured it out. You just need to time your jumps. Shoot when he shoots, then jump, then shoot and he'll get hit by your bullet in the air if you time it properly. When he starts shooting all over the level, don't jump everywhere or you'll be streaking through a warzone. Same goes for when you're dodging most of the bullets, actually. You need to stay still and focus. Time your jumps and you'll be all good. + so others can see.
I have a rule of thumb that an impossible that should be hard is one with more than 25,000 earned, and a hard that should be impossible is one with less than 10,000 earned. This is an impossible hard.
Hard badge, here I... no. Just no. Don't get me wrong, I think this is a good game. But you can hit remarkably close to a city and still only get an x1 multiplier. I think you really need to balance up this game by at least rewarding players with an x2 multiplier just fir hitting the correct country. Partition the bigger countries if you have to, but the truth is that the Middle East and Africa has a shit ton of countries and it's an achievement to just hit one correctly. + so the dev can see
To complete this badge, you'll need to save at least five lives for the boss fight, and with a bit of luck, avoid the hard minigames. It's more like complete 70 minigames when you include the bossfight. Oh, and a small tip: shoot for the whites of the eyes. Shoot the sides and you'll not get anywhere. + so others can see
Level 5 should be renamed "Endurance". You'll have fun waiting half an hour for a shit ton of launchers (for me it was 23) to shoot through dense Creeper. Guess any chance of replayability value is off then.
If this roller coaster is able to jump, then at some point, it doesn't require electricity. Kudos to the dev for finally building an economically sound theme park attraction.
For the secrets: Look inside levels 1, 10, 18 25, 36, 40, the top of the world map (and I mean very top), as well as Secret Levels 1, 4 and 7. Yup, that's right. The secret levels have secrets too.
