Pretty decent gameplay, the upgrades are pretty good, but I was expecting a little more depth overall, and maybe even some more upgrades in order to go for some really sick high scores. 4/5, great concept, well executed, just needs some more depth added and I'll surely change to a 5/5!
This is an extremely interesting take on the physics/puzzle genre, I like the idea of adding some timing into the mix, as well as the shape changers and the gravity direction changer, so some puzzles involve getting it rolling one way, then flipping the gravity to get it to another orb. Very well done, nice polished look and feel, very fun. 5/5!
Pretty good so far, the movement is nice and the addition of the umbrella is pretty cool, although some randomly spawning pickups would be nice, like a health boost, or a 10-20 second invincibility, maybe some moving platforms or something you could hide under temporarily, just something else to give it some more playability. 4/5.
Excellent graphics, nice soundtrack, and the gameplay is solid, and like Lugalid was saying, it would be nice to have an upgrade perhaps for jump height and hookshot length, other than that great game, 4/5 for now :)
On the first screen with a save button, a spike is conveniently hidden by the death counter, ironic choice of placement or poor level creation? You decide.
I think he downloaded some royalty-free animations and decided to use them in a simple game to try and make it seem more polished lol, but I have to admit, the gameplay wasn't too bad, the backgrounds were a bit bland, but whether those animations were original or not, they're fluid and the game isn't too bad. 3/5.
::sigh:: Another generic bike game. This is like the 20th one I've seen in the past 3 days. The artwork is pretty nice, although sometimes it's tough to determine what is part of the track and what's part of the background. Programmed fairly well, everything works I guess. 2/5.
Fantastic game, the artwork is excellent, the controls, after a few seconds of getting used to, were slick, intuitive, and added a really cool new twist to the traditional hack and slash game. The bosses were awesome, specifically the level 1 + level 5 bosses. Excellent work overall, while it may be short, I think it's just the right length before normal hack and slash games lose their flair. 5/5.
I really don't understand why all of these Mario games are popping up, like I've said on the other games, what does Mario being in it do to the gameplay at all except put a familiar face in a generic game? Nothing new to the table, nothing new or exciting, ripped graphics. 1/5.
Excellent game, and I think it's most certainly independent of Crush the Castle. This game was extremely enjoyable, I beat all 40 stages, and got Gold as well! Definitely looking forward to see what else comes of this series! 5/5
What is with all of the freakin' Mario games? It's not like they're Nintendo endorsed, or like Mario being in it adds ANY type of fun/depth/anything to the gameplay. 2/5, the game is obviously coded and functioning, but nothing new brought to the table.
This is actually an extremely well done game, the 3d combined with the sprites for enemies was a wise choice - the one thing I would like is that the cursor wouldn't be offset from hiding position to visible position, that way I could line up a shot or plan a series of shots without having to aim differently the second I jump out, although it does add a bit of difficulty to it in a bit of a good way. Story was fun, time attack adds some replay value, and the emblems are always nice for adding replay value, as well as a rewarding sense of gameplay. Excellent job, 5/5
Nitrome's other games usually had 1 flaw, that the game itself wasn't as immersive as it could be, but I must say this game has truly brought out their full potential, with Nitrome's signature BEAUTIFUL pixel graphics, but this time it's backed by excellent and intuitive gameplay. 5/5
Pretty solid shooter, definitely a lot of fun, but it'd be nice if there was an unlimited mode so I could get maxed upgrades, also perhaps some different weapon/ship types to add a bit more depth to the gameplay. 4/5
