Excellent mix of skill, strategy, and action. The final battle is tough, but do-able. It's also quite innovative in terms of its mix of tower defense and action/skill elements. Wish it was slightly MORE LOTR-inspired (where were the men of the Dunedain? why not eagles instead of blue dragons?) but this is a relatively minor thing. Overall, an excellent game and one I can highly recommend! 5/5.
Hard as hell, obnoxious, with horrible music and rules that will make you want to shoot yourself in the face. And yet, you will torture yourself with this waterboard until you have the badges, no matter how long it takes. Curse you, Coolio, curse you! Hardest 90 points on Kongregate, bar none.
Game is difficult as hell, but very good other than that. Brings to mind the scrolling shooters of old, but also adds to that the twitch mentality of modern casual gaming (which I abhor, but it's part of the culture, so there's no sense arguing about it). Would be 5/5 except for the difficulty, which is absurd, so call it 4/5.
Dumb as a bag of hammers, and definitely... DEFINITELY needs a restart button. And it's entirely too based on luck for comfort. But I can see why people would like it. 3/5 from me.
Pretty and with great music (I used the music to creep out a telemarketer, it was great), but the puzzles are much harder than average. I had to use a walk-through at a couple of points to figure out what the hell was going on. So 4/5 for the atmosphere and the graphics, -1 for being too hard = 3/5.
Excellent! A terrific mix of play style, music, and mechanics. Incredibly original, almost the anti-twitch-avoider even though avoiding is a major part of the game. The music even offers a hint into the proper game strategy, which is either wonderful symbolism or just happy serendipity. You are to be commended in every respect. 5/5.
Repetitive and dull, with far too many "gotcha!" moments to be a truly good game. Stops being fun around level 3. And the ragdoll physics are ridiculous. 2/5.
There's a reason this game was buried. It should have stayed buried. The concept is amusing and could have been done in a way to really emphasize the camp elements. Instead, it's played straight... and is a total disaster. 3/5 for the concept, -1 for playing it straight = 2/5. Now, back underground where you belong.
Cute, amusing, easy, forgettable. Collison-detection is extremely poor, which works both for and against the player. Still, a cute little time-waster. 4/5 -1 for poor collision detection = 3/5.
Hm. Both better and worse than the original, particularly the various upgrades, which are simultaneously a fabulous idea and the most frustrating aspect of the game, since a lot of the upgrade paths make no sense. The map is a fantastic idea, but is balanced out by some of the bubbles, which are WAY too annoying to live (notably the "zillion tiny fighter" bubbles and the Destroyer bubble). For the most part, difficulty ramping is pretty good, and the controls are fine. Call it 4/5 -1.5 for the annoying factors +1 for the sheer dumb playability = 3.5/5, rounds up to 4/5.
Excellent work! Much superior to the first one, and that's saying something 'cause the first one was damn good. This one combines great strategy with the fun shooter aspects. Difficulty ramps perfectly, and the game itself is at just the right level of difficulty to be great fun. You look forward to shooting when you're shooting, and look forward to not when you're not. Bravo! 5/5.
It's fun, but there's absolutely no skill involved. It's just about picking the right starting country (and restarting if you don't start there), not buying anything until you're bored to tears, and lucking into a ship arriving in Madagascar at the right time. To call this a strategy game in the real sense of the word is ridiculous. But the interface is cute and there's some minor replay value to be had. 4/5 -1 for being about blind luck = 3/5.
Oh, but yes, it's a bit buggy, particularly the training level, where you can shoot right through the practice targets and the game doesn't acknowledge the hits.
Way too easy, as the other comments have implied, and gives money way too quick. That said, it's great fun and does a much better job than the previous version of indicating what needs to be done. A worthy entry in the series! 4/5.
Incredibly goofy, fun, and silly. Not all that original, but the graphics and the sheer goofiness added by the graphics makes up for that. Can't quite figure out how to do this in 5 days or less, though less than 10 days is easy enough. Still, great game! Call it 5/5 -1 for lack of originality = 4/5.
Just as much fun as the original! Not a lot of additions other than the graphics, but the graphics are great and after you get used to them, really improve the game. Wish the game window wasn't so small but that's a minor quibble. Well done! 5/5.
