Cute, addictive, and more original than it seems. Overall, a really nice game! 4/5.

It's certainly a fun idea, but the game-play kind of doesn't work. The physics engine sometimes forgets what type of surface you're driving on, can't decide sometimes whether surface terrain is destructable or not, and the steering has a weird habit of reversing when you're in reverse gear. Needs some work, but a cute idea. 3/5 -1 for physics and steering problems = 2/5.

I dunno. I really want to like it. But it *is* far too easy on most of the levels, and doesn't add a whole lot to the genre. I got to the point where I was mostly letting the game sit until bonuses popped up so I could hit a bunch of those, but without understanding the math behind the time bonus, I couldn't decide if I was helping or hurting myself. It's... OK. Nothing that screams great at me, not anything that I would immediately delete, either. Call it 3/5.

Difficulty ramps ridiculously fast and there aren't enough defensive options for the player. Also, when you don't include instructions or describe the mechanics used for your game, that doesn't mean you're automatically clever. Sometimes, it just means that you're lazy. 2/5.

Clever and original! Does become kind of dull after a while (I gave up on it around level 18), but it's fun and distracting until you get to that point. Needs something to change things up a little. Maybe power-ups that make your ball faster or slower, or give it spikes for use on ice, things like that. You could place the power-ups around the mazes and make the player choose between ending a level with a lot of lives and time or a lot of power-ups. The power-ups could then be saved up for the harder, later levels. Anyway, it needs something like that to change the game up and make it more long-term interesting. For now, 3/5.

I was a little harsh on this game: it becomes much easier once you buy the Large propeller, so much so that I would advocate that anyone trying to play this game save up $8k and make that your very first purchase. You still die incredibly often with the Large propeller, don't get me wrong, but at least the game isn't flat out impossible once you have it. Still 3/5. The lives thing just has to go. Replace it with sharks damaging your sub, lowering oxygen and pressure it can sustain until you get back to the boat for repairs.

Have to agree with most of the other comments. The initial level is too hard, with not enough oxygen and sharks that are just a little TOO good at killing you off. Quickly makes what looks like a fun concept incredibly frustrating instead. 2/5 +1 for a cute concept = 3/5.

The best part of this game is the first level, which cleverly links what's happening on the screen with the premise of the game (you are a ball of light). It rapidly degenerates into lag and pointlessness after that. 2/5.

P.S. Oh, and I have to say people are being far too harsh on this game. As the game itself and many of the comments say, keep an open mind. If you can't at least give this one a chance, skip rating it instead of rating it so poorly.

Huh. I have no idea what to think of this one. I agree that level 3 is rather frustrating. Other than this, the game-play is good and sufficiently challenging, and it isn't TOO hard to figure out what you have to do at each level. However, if there IS a metaphor here, it breaks down after level 5 or so and becomes overly mysterious. What it has going for it is that it's the most original game I've seen in quite a long time, and the concepts in the game definitely deserve to be explored a bit more. 4/5 for now.

Been getting e-mails and shouts about my comments, so I feel the need to clarify them. The entire personality from the first game to the second is different. The second one feels like you're trying to make a console game. There's obviously nothing wrong with console games: I play lots of them. But the very "professionalism" of a console game violates the personality and genre ("be fancy!") that you established in the first game. For instance, in World 2, it's way too easy to die instantly, falling off the bottom of the screen. Avoiding this adds a layer of caution and repetition, when the game should really be playable with a devil-may-care "wheeeeee!" aspect. So... yeah. I'm disappointed. Still 2/5.

The graphics are fabulous, but the game-play is a huge step down from world 1. Way too many things going on, many of them way too complicated. The first one was a fun, cute little time-waster. The second game spends much more time on being "clever", which makes the game less fun. The golf aspect is just frustrating. Overall, I'm kinda disappointed. 3/5 -1 for the golf aspect = 2/5.

Interesting concept implemented with neolithic incompetence. It doesn't matter what shape you draw -- the game will be assigning your scores based on an algorithm that only it knows. Ridiculously easy to cheat, and you can play the entire game in 90 seconds and never have a desire to look upon the game again. 2/5.

Plays too quickly and with too little control. The concept of the game is fine, but the time-based element of it is not. 2/5.

Very solid game! The blue triangles are a little unfair, and it's not entirely clear what some of the upgrades do. It also needs some boss levels to break up the monotony -- once you've experienced all the types of bad guys, the game threatens to get repetitive and the replay value is a little low. Still, the controls are perfect, the graphics are great fun, and the game-play is great! Overall, a great game! 4/5.

The basic idea is great, but the implementation is rather poor. Difficulty ramps too quickly and the basic gun is too hard to work with and doesn't do enough damage. If you require a lot of skill to use a gun, let that gun do a lot of damage out of the box. Low skill, low damage guns like the machine gun should be a lot cheaper to give the beginning player a fall-back position. Enemies become far too numerous and frequent far too quickly. Overall, a poor game. 2/5.

Straight-forward Risk clone. If you dial the speed up to Light Speed, it plays reasonably fast. I didn't notice any major problems with the randomizer. As long as you play strategically and don't over-extend yourself (straightforward military stuff), you'll win every round. If anything, the AI needs to be made a little bit smarter. Not bad overall. 4/5.

Great game! Has a few minor bugs here and there and becomes pretty laggy regardless of the power of the system playing it after level 18 or so. But very clever, original, and fun! 5/5.

Rates a giant "eh!" from me. Completely, utterly repetitive. Once you've beaten one type of a guy, you've beaten them all. Graphics are... OK. You find yourself wishing that your character could do all the cool things the boss character can.

Yeah, I have to agree with everyone else. The system requirements for this game are FAR too high, particularly given the complexity of what's happening -- c'mon, the game at heart is a damn center shooter with only a relatively tiny number of moving targets. There's no excuse whatsoever for it to be this laggy, and the over-complicated controls and bad strategic aspects of the game just turn this into a disappointment. It's clear a huge amount of work went into both this game and it's predecessor, and I respect that, but I have to measure this game on results, not effort. 2/5.
