Ok...all the appeal and charm this game had is gone. The bosses are out of freaking control. Isn't it enough that it has lasers, blue beams of whatever that drain most your health and it's main guns, but why do those damn bug looking things have to spawn, firing so many shots that between them and the boss there's no way of not getting hit.especially since the hit detection is flawed. And what the F^&^ is with the boss's health???? I mean really, 15 solid minutes of hitting it with fully upgraded lasers and fully upgraded rockets and there's only a quarter of it's life gone. With how much shit is on screen..of course in the 30 minutes it takes to fight him you're going to get hit enough to die, even if you have full health. And the upgrade prices are insane.
As much as I do enjoy this game.the enemies start to get just retardedly strong. It's like in the 2nd one, I don't even bother to fight because it takes so much to kill 1 plane. And the bosses, good freaking lord...the top comment is right on...I think I may be eligible for retirement before one dies.
Wow, I died 1 second after it said You Won! The You Won! and You Lose! were on screen at the same time over top each other. I beat the 2nd NW before this and these games have grown on me. The fully hand drawn art is so unique and really cool. And even though it's a simple shooter, it's fun.
Freaking hell. I've just never been good at TD games..I mean..this is fun..but for some reason, I've just always been horrible at them. I just hate when you can be doing so well...then one wave comes...wipes you out and all your work and time were for nothing at all. And what about the steel balloons? Those took out 95 of my lives. Jesus...me and TD games just do not get along.
Well damn...that was a very long haul. It really...really should have been a hard badge. Getting gold on every mission was just as hard as in the 2nd, and that was a hard. So why they chose to make this only a medium is beyond me. Either way..I finally got all 30 golds. TIP: The Helicopters are key. Save up and buy the one with rockets, and the one with a machine gun. Both are perfect for certain situations so buy them as quickly as possible.
BIG TIP: Baddie Bunker 5 - which is Mission #25, is a gold mine. Just get a tank and helicopter. It's easy as hell to just blow everything and everyone up with the tank, then when you have almost everyone killed, use the helicopter to grab all 9 stars, then finish off the rest of them. There's no Civ's or VIPS to worry about and you can get 50,000 everytime you beat it. I've gotten over half a million and enough stars to make the last 5 mission a lot eaiser. It's a gold mine, easy as hell level, and it nets you 50K everytime. + this to help some people
God...this is just insane. I've been playing this 2 hours now..with nothing to show. Not only is the massive problem of constantly getting hit and reverting back to lower tanks present, but at this point, the enemies have so much health..there's almost nothing I can do..I literally spent 25 minutes fighting these orange clusters and a tank..I didn't even know if I was hurting them...finally after 15 minutes 1 exploded so I thought, hm...this has to be the final boss. But no, after another 10 minutes of solid firing, i just get a few bubbles....this is INSANE. I'm just going in a circle . I made it to level 4 tank but got shot to hell and now I'm stuck at 2, and I STILL have no idea how to find the boss. 2 Go^%*&^^& hours!!!
Jesus. It only took me about 30 minutes to kill the BFT, Spawn Carrier and Tri Guardian. But the Destroyer?? That took me 2 hours. They have so.much.damn.health and there are so many bullets flying at you. It would be so much easier if it was a lifebar instead of, when you get hit...you revert to a weaker state...and it takes so many bubbles to make it past Fighter 3. But i finally killed the Destroyer and got the badge. That was by far the hardest one to kill. now it's time to somehow get a 5th gneration tank and kill the last boss. And it's 3 am....dammit. It'd be so nice if there was a save feature
It's nice that they added upgrades...but, it's ruined by what plagued the first game. Even more so in this one, you are constantly getting set back because there are so many bullets flying around. I can't make it past fighter 2 because I go into these bubbles and there's just bullets coming from every direction. So..the upgrades are nice...but it's almost rendered useless by the fact that you're constantly being set back...why didn't you fix this Hero??? And you STILL didn't put in a save?? WTF Hero?? Those were the two huge complaints with the first..why didn't you fix them?
I just went into 1 random bubble..killed what was in there and got the badge. BADGE GUIDE: At the start, just go to bubbles near you and build up as much armor as you can. I know how insanely frustrating it is to loose all your bubbles and have to go back to the start, but once you get your tank powerful enough, you'll just pwn everything. Once you've collected enough bubbles, start going straight up. The best way to kill them is to circle around the bubble, firing at the center. Eventually, you'll get enough bubbles o that you have a huge tank and a white shield around you. At this point, you'll have the huge bubble shots and can basically destroy any enemy. Just fire as many shots as you can into the enemies and they'll go down like nothing. Continue to go straight up, and kill everything in every bubble. It won't take too long to reach the boss. Trust me, if you can get your tank powerful enough, everything in this game becomes much much easier and the badge isn't that hard.
You know what? No, I don't like this damn game. Hero is a great company, but this is Bullsh**. All this damn game is, is gaining a few bubbles, then getting hit a few times, loosing all your bubbles, being shot of into another bubble that has way overpowered enemies...rinse and repeat. You just can't make any damn progress because you are constantly loosing your armor and going back to the starting tank. And where the hell is this boss??? I'm just going from bubble to bubble, loosing all my bubbles, wander to another...etc etc etc...W.T.F!!!
Just finished level 13. Good game. Only major problem once you get past the hit detection is that on the last like 4 levels, the enemies health just skyrockets. And you don't get very much money in comparison to how much everything costs. By the last level I was just dodging everything, not even bothering to fight because it took so much to kill them. Then the final boss took about 15 solid minutes of constant fire with the fully upgraded Sonic Shot and fully upgraded Energy Shot to kill. Ah well, I got the badge. Fun game, would have been better if everything weren't so expensive.
Jesus. I like this game..I really do. But the same thing that pissed me off about it when it came out..still does. You can be doing great..have a huge tank, pwning everyone....but then just a few small red bubbles hit you, and you're back to nothing. If you could upgrade then that'd be good, but it's just constantly going back and fourth on being a strong tank, then taken down to nothing. All your hard work becomes for nothing when you get hit by just a few red bubbles dammit.
Ok..well once I got past the learning curve...I started to absolutely love this. It's fast paced, exciting as hell and just fun. For anyone who is confused, here's basically what's going on. The goal is to destroy the floating sun in the center. Around that sun is different layers of protection. There's small red one's, medium green ones, black ones, and a few others. These fly all over and attack you and your base. Then there are the..let's call them bodyguard suns. These are the orange yellow balls that are much bigger than the rest, who constantly circle the center sun. You have to kill every one of these "bodyguard suns" to expose the main sun. Make sure to upgrade your allies so that your base can be defended. Then upgrade your cannon and shields. Try following the bodyguard suns inside their orbit as you shoot them..it makes it easier to keep up with them. 5/5 game
And those Motherf&^%(*& Biters. What bothers me about this game is the same reason I hate TD games. Everything can be going great, then one second, all your time and work is for nothing. You can be the best player n the planet, but one mistake, getting hit by a single enemy...and it's all for absolutely nothing.
Good, addicting, and simple game. But, you have hardly any life at all...especially for how many enemies there are. Having to start all over time is pretty annoying. And the 1 hit deaths are just plain cheap. idk what to think of this. It's one of those games I both love and hate.
Still love the game...but all of the problem present in number two, they didn't fix. It's still very easy to kill VIP's and Civs, its still possible to destroy something you need to reach stars, and it's still easy to destroy a building and kill a VIP or Civ. And the stupid part is they don't die if something hits them..they die only when they slowly topple over to the ground...wth. Plus there are new frustrations. Those damn Tesla coils, your aiming is just all over, even if you keep the cursor in the same spot the bullets will go in different directions..usually destroying a building you need to get a star. AND, the missions ends once all the baddies are dead. I can't tell you how many times I beat a level, then couldn't reach the last star in time before it ended and I have to do it again. It's a great series, but these things are still present and make it very frustrating.
CS3 just got badges. Day, just got 10,000 percent better. Hell.freaking.yes. Getting a gold better be a hell of a lot easier than in 2 for it to be a medium. I spent two days getting the Three Medal Resort hard badge in number 2.
Ok...massive problem...the hit detection is so incredibly biased. If a bullet just comes close to you, it still hits. It's a major problem when there are a lot of bullets on screen..you should just be able to dodge through them, but it's so hard when you don't even have to be near a bullet for it to hit you.
