I seem to be stuck in an odd spot. I beat the boss, which lets me into a circle of dead end crystals. So I went back to town, getting some new text with the old lady and the farmer. But no one else seems to say anything new. Is the game just... done? With no ending indicator?
Doesn't compare to the first one. The pace went from pretty quick/ having fun trying to beat cycles (but often having the choice to slow down, too) to autoscrollers galore. Not all of them are overly slow, but you no longer have any control of your pace.
Fixed it! Seems the trouble came because after talking to the girl on the bench I walked around and spoke to her again before she managed to walk away. The game didn't realize she was gone, so it didn't trigger Shioni's appearance. Thankfully I had a backup save and didn't need to start over!
I feel stuck. I spoke to Fire Boy's buddies. Two were excited, one wasn't. Now I cannot advance the story. The guy isn't by the well like he said, and if I cannot find him, I cannot get back to the main quest.
@ThomKer This is based more on light mixing than paint mixing. Red, Blue, and Green are light's primary colors and mix differently than you may expect.
And of course I manage it right after sending that. You can lick during a pound to get through the ghost next to the first bat. Also useful on level 15, as you can stun the first ghost while moving through it.
Totally stuck on 14 for a while now. Can't bounce first bat without hitting spikes or ghost. If i lick it, I'm on a path where i need to lick the next one to reach the right ground. From there I can't jump to anything, and bouncing hits the bat above. I've watched the youtube vid from @PsyMarth, but can't execute that insanely precise lick-stomp, which I doubt is the intended strat.
The fire boss fight drags a bit too long with the short range of your weapon. It' the only frustration I've faced in the game. There could be more upgrades to compensate (and increase the fun factor) for weapon range, jump height, etc. Heck, give enemies >1 hp and let us upgrade our damage.
Post-update the menu has no words. I can still select things, but I can't read what I'm selecting. This is true on the title screen as well as the pause screen.
That's weird. All in-game text loads from the external text files included into the game archive. I haven't changed or removed them. The bad thing is that i can't reproduce this bug. Anyway, thanks for letting me know.
I expected more from the ending. Like revealing literally anything about the town or the main character. Too straightforward, just a few non-complicated fetch quests. There was a game with a very similar plot and gameplay recently with better execution, Just Passing. I recommend you check it out. Overall enjoyable few minutes, but needs to be fleshed out.
Mind bending, lots of fun, and basically every time I was frustrated it was me doing something wrong, not a difficult action. GREAT game, looking forward to whatever else your head comes up with!
Controls need to be much quicker. You jump slowly, and bumping anything stops you. Replace sticky body with a slightly higher jump, have better acceleration and control. This game is not challenging, just hard to play.
I like the game so far -still early on- but I find it very difficult to see. Identifying usable vs background vs dangerous terrain is challenging. It adds difficulty because I'm not seeing paths or what's killing me, instead of due to execution.
I actually really like this. Each prestige does feel much better than the last. Though I have an issue: after my first time loading the game, sound doesn't work. Mute/unmute does nothing; it is always silent.
yes defeating Drakora is the final part of this game. Witch's Tail II Mystery Academy coming this June.
