@imnotsicktoday You need to read what it says. "Star 2: Dual Swords Style only, Dual Swords Level 10+" This means you can ONLY use Dual Swords Style and it MUST be at level 10 or higher to earn the second star. Good luck in your future rival subjugation.
Part 2: Legacy gear, passed down from Master to Disciple could have long-reaching impact on the game and help with the crushing slow-down you run into around your fourth/fifth Disciple promotion. I'm also a bit unsure about how the Innovation Mastery works, I've tried using it but it doesn't seem to let me level beyond the Master-based cap for skills. So maybe ask some of your fan base about skills that confuse them, and see if you can expound a bit further on the way those skills work? I.E. general conversation or an in-game tutorial.
Part 1: Okay, Tovrick I have to agree with Dominger about Defense mode. You are right, early game it's useful. Late game it has literally no use, especially against Marauders which it should be most useful against. They have such a high hit stat that it just obliterates you, your only hope is to land a hit and drain their stamina down so they can't just rip you apart. I also agree with CreativeArgon but I believe it should be taken a step further with the gear. Throughout history you hear of legendary weapons (Masamune, Excalibur, Gungnir and so on,) I personally believe they were just extremely well crafted weapons passed down in families. Why not do something similar to that?
One last thing, Ninjakiwi. I can't be the only person who's looked at the training packs and realized something interesting between the Basic and Advanced Training Packs. The difference between them, is 50 Gems and 1,000 Training Points. Really, I'd just buy six Basic packs for the additional Artisan Tokens and Skill Points. There needs to be a better incentive to saving up 5.42 times the amount other than just a few more Training Points.
I understand why the Ads are disabled after use, but can you explain to me WHY they're disabled on EVERYTHING after a couple? That makes the wait on some of the "missions" not worth all that much in the long run. Mind you, I'm not saying you should be able to sit there and spam them over and over again. I'm just saying you should be able to use it once for everything it's available for. If that overloads your servers, maybe you need new/better servers? Also, if you get stuck having to put your only Cleric on a long mission you're just kinda screwed. And I know, you can buy more Clerics but that merely raises another question. Do different heroes of the same class share skill books? If they do it's not so bad, if they don't then I'm not sure it's really worth the time investment. I don't know the answer yet, I will find out eventually but I don't know yet.
I can expand on it for you Ninjakiwi. To put it bluntly, those people who are FIVE MONTHS ahead of us are essentially just gonna pwn the n00bs and laugh at us the whole time. It's an uneven playing field and you can dream that the guilds are really going to make that much of a difference but that just seems like you guys attempting to delude yourselves (and us) into believing it. Now for a quick review of just a few things I don't like about this. The combat needs to be paused when switching to the next group, the way it currently works I always end up wasting my ranged attacks on the front line rather than the back row ranged enemies murdering my casters.
Where's the cut located? Is it on an extremity, your torso or (even worse,) your head? Also, H2O2 (Hydrogen Peroxide) isn't very effective as an antiseptic for wounds, your best choice is the Povidone-Iodine bottle. (Also, there are quite a few typos in this.)
I agree with the other person who complained about the applicable possibilities for modern semi-automatic rifles. Without knowing the caliber there's no point to even asking the potential lethal range. A .22 has a vastly shorter lethal range than say a .308 which is generally used to hunt large game. Both can be semi-automatic, bolt-action or lever-action, that distinction in itself isn't enough to be appropriate for the answers you can choose. Also, the 7.62 NATO round and the .308 Winchester round have the same muzzle energy of 2,997 foot pounds. If you meant something else, then I'd like clarification. Is it the 7.62x51mm NATO round?
Man, it took me a little to figure out the K-code. In fact, it wasn't until I looked at the icon for it that the light bulb came on. I recognized the image but I hadn't seen it in a long time. To those who are truly stuck on it, look up Konami. I still remembered the old cheat code too :D
I do have a problem with a game that eventually makes the objects you're looking at shrink to the point they're indistinguishable from one another. 1/5, this is a crippling problem that needs to be addressed in order for this game to be playable for more than three minutes. You do want people to play your game for more than three minutes, don't you?
And apparently the blacksmith, LIVING in my kingdom, somehow subtracts from my population when he needs workers? Explain this, how do I lose subjects by allowing him to recruit some workers when his shop is in my kingdom?
Only problem I really have is how no one EVER tells you how much gold they need. They might hint at it, they might even go so far as to say "a few" but they never give you anything resembling an actual number. That never happened. Ever. I was also a bit offended when the mimic ate some people and if you don't accept the gold you just let it go. I would've had it killed, especially since I'm apparently outfitting my soldiers with decent gear. Might as well get some use out of all that equipment I'm paying for, don't you think?
You need to give us just a bit more info Moczan, particularly when it comes to the skills. What exactly do they do? If they increase something by a percentage, what percentage is it increased by? Most gamers like to know exactly what they're dealing with, so they can make an educated guess as to what they need as well as when/how to use certain skills.
So many people that seem to have forgotten the basis of an IDLE game. Why is it if there's nothing to actively do people down rate an idle game on the spot? It's an idle game folks, turn it on, set it up, walk away. That's how it works. And as far as that goes, this game has hit the mark. It may not be as shiny or interactive as other games, but for the genre it's in it works just fine. Also, like the concept and the fact that the developer is responsive to the fan-base. We're seeing more of that now thankfully, but it's not as prevalent as it should be. Kudos to you Slimeow, and keep up the good work.
Part 2: Yes, third Groundhog will help with that with the Minimalism upgrade, but for those of us in our second we're just kinda screwed. Stuck with Yugle because Dark Plateau doesn't pay enough to be competitive. My suggestion is to increase the pay of Dark Plateau, and as rulezz said, put in some more random events. I know you're working on it (Pride and Lust TBD tells me that much itself,) but it was a good suggestion worth repeating. I will however make an alteration to that suggestion, make them timed. Appear between a certain year and day and disappear after X amount of days have passed. More incentive to be an active player that way. (P.S. I also have a suggestion for Kongregate. Perhaps you could put in a character counter for us so we don't have to guess at the length of our post?)
Part 1: Alright, I'm going to start by saying this is a brilliant premise for a game. The execution isn't the greatest, HOWEVER! You are listening to people, you are implementing changes and making fixes. For that I commend you, and would also like to possibly take advantage of that by running a thought past you. I JUST got to the point where I could unlock the Dark Plateau. You nerfed Yugle, and that's perfectly fine but I wouldn't nerf it again. The problem I'm running into, is that it takes so long just to get into the Dark Plateau that I'm already requiring more expensive homes and such by the time I get to it.
The only real complaint I have is that the shotguns don't work the way they're supposed to. Shotguns are more effective the closer you are to the target, why don't we have an option to use the shotgun at point-blank range for double damage? I know it would "break" the game, but that IS how shotties work dude.
Earth's population is WAY off..Even when this was first made the population was way off. You're off by roughly 60 times man, that's an inexcusable mathematical error. But beyond that, it's a nice little game but not a great game. The growth curve on costs versus gains is crippling, and if you get the wrong skills in the beginning you're screwed since there's no reset option. I also agree with XeromexHolland, The skills don't do much for how the costs explode suddenly. Five skill points for a 2% gain? It's just not really worth it after a while, making skills useless late game.
Mikmick, it would be if this hadn't come first. So, it's more accurate to say "Jelly Go ripped off Phage Wars 2." Also, NortyFiner, just because you're a terrible gamer doesn't mean this is a terrible game. I'm assuming if it's giving you this much trouble you probably don't know how to activate your gene sequencing upgrades. Give that another look over, if there's nothing in the left page where your genetic alterations should be you've done something wrong.
I will add more detailed explanation to the skill grid!
