The "Breakout" style player movement just doesn't lend itself to left and right arrow keys. That has been known for decades now even since the first home console tried to have players play breakout with a standard joystick or D-pad. And it is no better here.
This is one of those games that really makes me wonder if the people who wrote it ever PLAYED it before releasing it. There is no way they could have played for more than 30 seconds without realizing that the repetitive, unfunny sound bytes during the rounds got old REALLY fast. IT is like The Simpsons episode where Homer joins the barbershop quarter and they choose the name The B-Sharps because it is a name that sounds funny at first, but becomes less funny each time it is repeated. The problem is, these sound bytes were repeated hundreds of times.
Games like this need to address the very dumb aiming problem where you can't shoot someone that is "behind" another enemy, even if from the standpoint of your tower, you would easily have a clear shot at them. IT is extremely annoying to not be able to hit and kill an enemy that is shooting at you from far out because a slow moving, not all that dangerous enemy is in your pseudo line of sight, but not really in your line of sight. For situations like that, just have it hit exactly where my crosshairs are pointed at.
Where to begin...well, first off...I load the game and check out another website. Within 5 minutes, by computers fan sounds like a jet engine and I see my browser is using over a GB of RAM. All for a very basic looking game. And the game is slowed to a crawl. So I reload and see why it could possibly need so much RAM. Only to find it is one of those dumb "Guess what the developer was thinking" obstacle games. Games hat require no skill nor logic. Just to die at each new obstacle and then go back now knowing what it coming. How is that supposed to be un? IT is about as fun as if the creator of this game said "I'm thinking of a number between 1 and 10" and we had to guess. And then that "Game" was repeated a few dozen times even though it wasn't fun the first time.
This is just anther example of how the world of computers and the internet is DEVOLVING badly as people are stupidly designing solely for tablets and trying to make the majority of people (those who still use REAL computers) to adapt to an inferior product designed for an inferior device. IT isn't just games. But websites as well. WE are back to the 90s with ugly blocky websites. Annoying animated GIFs. IT is like 1998 Geocities all over again. And this is the kind of game that we would have expected to play back then.
IT truly is amazing that hte people who make these games just totally ignore the comments from previous games. NO ONE likes the annoying slow motion. We hated it with the first game, but at least that was occasionally accompanied by some extra money. Now it is just slowing down the game for now reason other than to be annoying, KNOWING that players hate it.
Unless I am missing something, it takes WAYYYYY too long to get to other fishing areas. I can't imagine anyone wanting to play as long as this games seems to think people will want to play. The gameplay is repetitive. And Repetitive and long are a bad mix. An seriously...why WOULDN'T there be a simple, one click way to put ALL your caught fish into your inventory? Why would anyone NOT want to do this?
This is possible the WROST control scheme ever created. There is NO WAY the designed of this game even played his own creation once. Because if he had, he would have been embarrassed to release this.
Upgrades are too expensive. If you miss the perfect launch spot by 1 millimenter it makes a HUGE difference. WAYYYYY too many bad encounters than good ones, even with upgrades. All these problems makes this game a boring "idle" game where you just waste your life playing over and over again rather than using some sort of skill or strategy.
Soetimes, changing directions just decides to sink your back wheel into the ground and glue you to the spot. that and PLEASe make the failed level sequence shorter. When you have a game that requires more trial and error than skill...the last thing we want is to spend over 5 seconds every time we die watching the guy just lay there.
How to make a launch game virtually unplayable: Make it REALLY SLOW.. Add way too many obstacles hat stop you dead in your tracks, or even makes you go backwards. But really..the fact that you slow down to a crawl so fast makes me wonder if the creators of this game even tried playing their game ONCE.
The controls were horribly unresponsive. Containing to move after I stopped pressing to the right, or not moving right away when I press it, and my aim not moving for several seconds.
I don't know if it was just me or if the rockets are just plain stupid. I shoot one and it flies off the top of the screen before eventually coming down and hitting something 10 seconds after I fired it. I other words, it is TOTALLY random what you are shooting at since what it hit was not even on screen when I pressed fire.
I really WANT to like this game, but there are too many bafflingly annoying parts to it. First off, if allies will be killed by friendly fire, then give them an IQ of over 10 so they don't run into trouble. And when I call in a kamikaze attack, DON'T have my archers and mages shoot them! That was the last straw for me and caused me to sop trying to complete the final level. Every time I called in the kamikazes, my mage would shoot them and they would explode early., This had a double negative effect for me since they would often explode near one of my allies. So I would waste the attack AND I would lose one of the lives that I have to protect. You could say friendly fire is more realistic. But that does not explain why my mages would TARGET allies. Allies that they are supposedly calling! That isn't friendly fire. That is murder.
If you are going to have friendly fire damage allies, then you need to make the allies more distinguishable on a crowded battlefield. With them being so tiny, and their health bars too similar, it is ridiculous, especially the challenge rounds where no allies can be killed. Friendly fire also makes some spells useless if knights are around.
It's too late already to change this part of the gameplay. But thanks for the response. If I'll make a sequel, I'll add some sort of a protective spell to cover your men.
Looks like that ally-targeting bug striked back :( Thought it was already fixed.
