The thermostat and mushroom are /not/ red herrings. The mushroom is an alternate solution to getting into the bar, just as the coin is an alternate solution to getting into your house. The bell, though, that's still useless.
For some reason, I seem to be really good at this. No idea what that means, but I beat it in under 4 minutes my first try. Guess there's some mind-function I got from all those years of gaming that let me adjust.
I realize that everyone whines for an autofire in every shooter ever, but I think that pizzaroids is an excellent example of why autofire shouldn't be implemented in every single one...
I stand corrected, it seems that it's not lag, but rather a lack thereof. Bomb fuses vary with lag while player movement doesn't, so if your computer is running smoothly, the bomb will blow up extremely quickly. Either way, you should really synchronize bomb fuses and player movement, it's a big problem.
It seems quite fun, but it would seem that a bit of lag can render the game very much unplayable. In my case, I'm unable to get away from a bomb before it explodes due to lag. Still quite fun, but that's a major problem...
The art isn't bad, but I feel that the gameplay is quite suffering. There's no challenge whatsoever and it's a really basic platformer with nothing in your way but time. If artsy games like Braid, Limbo, and The Company of Myself can also be entertaining as games, then this can be too, and I can't find myself giving this more than a 3/5.
It's kind of unclear what's meant by "Damage control." Are we supposed to avoid damaging parts of the enemy tank that don't need to be damaged, or are we supposed to avoid as much damage as we can?
Kind of lame how it doesn't adjust for song volume, nor does it seem to adjust the score-ratings for anything, really, but still pretty cool. Try "Science is fun" from the Portal 2 OST, it makes a sweet level.
You shouldn't randomly give someone an item that's less powerful than another random item. At least have them planned out. There's just no excuse for that...
As someone with a nearly fetishistic love for well-made physics-shooter-platformers, I have to say this is a great game. However, I felt the last boss was rather disappointing... he only had one move and beating him was mostly just a matter of keeping above him and laying down a ton of fire. Still, brilliant game!
I'm pushing out an update soon that contains adjustment for low volume songs, as well as a better score ratings system :)
