Oops, looks like there is one. Even still, I'd rather the AI whomp my castle after they've destroyed my units than sit back at their own waiting for me to respawn.
The AI's way too unaggressive. You need a suicide button that lets you just end a battle that's been a stalemate for ten minutes but lets you keep some of the loot you've earned.
I don't like how the speed up and slow down buttons work. Half the fun of Canabalt was in managing your speed with minimal controls. This is a much more run of the mill platformer.
I think this game would be more fun if the hint button told you what one of the next items is, instead of telling you which groups to combine. Then, the player would have to reason out what to combine rather than being given a set of trial and error.
This would be a wonderful idea if it actually worked. Frequently I see the ghost racers I'm against desynch and wander about the interior of the race course until they 'finish' at some spot far from the finish line.
Ok game, but the format meant I was earning free lives faster than I could lose them. I wasn't 100%, but to a flag loving smartypants, the game just doesn't seem to end. Perhaps an 'overall' time limit would help.
I'm kinda disappointed that it took me five runs to even get the first speed upgrade. This is annoying. After one run, you should be able to upgrade *something*
This game is entirely non-intuitive. If I effectively use my money to save people, Panic creeps up and I lose, but if I let the entire populations of Illinois and Texas die so that I can continuously and cheaply supply masks to smaller states, I win...
It's clever and all, leaving the instruction box ambiguous, but I played through some of the early levels months ago and came back to finish it up and I don't seem to remember anymore. Thanks.
