Pretty simple game.
For the inequality problem, once you realize that only the right side has an odd number it becomes simple. Adding an even with an odd always results in an odd and dividing 6 by 7 results in a fraction so the only option left is multiply. 42 isn't divisible evenly by 4 and multiplying generates too large of a number so your options are either 38 or 46. It should be pretty simple from there.
On top of all that is fact the game doesn't even fit to the screen. It cuts off a third of some menus with this weird gray bar. If the exit menu button is off screen then you have to reload the page. The art is decent, but taking some artwork and turning it into a slideshow doesn't make it a game. The screen is about 1/4 buttons that lead to microtransactions of many varieties. There are multiple lottery systems which are extremely unfriendly to f2p and p2w players alike. EVERYTHING in the game upgrades, even your ugrades can upgrade. There are upgrades that upgade those upgrades too, and those upgrades come in tiers that you get based on a lottery system. Overall just an awful, tedious experience designed to extract chakra from your wallet.
I just hit level 20 and I still have no idea what is going on. The game plays itself via a never ending tutorial and auto pathing to objectives. Even the combat plays itself. I've played idle games that require more thought and input than this. I'd say this is interactive fiction instead of a game, however the really garbage translating/writing stops it from being a readable story. There are words that seem EXTREMELY out of place due to them not understanding what synonyms are. There is the scene where kakashi is teaching them to walk up trees and he says "extract chakra from the trees." I read that and was like WTF DOES THAT EVEN MEAN. Like holy shit just google the scene and copy paste about them concentrating their own chakra, not extracting the tree's chakra lol.
@felixr2 Your explanation of why certain characters act slower makes sense, however none of that is mentioned in game. That said, if the reason my mage attacks so slowly is because of big magic, then my healer casting big magic should be affected by the same concept(which he isn't).
In my original comment I mentioned that I fought 3 slimes and had a damage range of 240-625. The key point is that they were 3 IDENTICAL slimes. Even saying that slimes would have minor differences in stats from one another shouldn't produce a damage range like that. I honestly haven't played the game in awhile so I don't remember if there could have been level differences or not, but I wouldn't have commented about it if a lvl 5 slime and a lvl 30 slime took different amounts of damage(I'd have be braindead NOT to know why).
Lol what is this game doing on PC? The controls are absolutely unfriendly to everyone not on a tablet or some other touch screen. To go from the top row to the bottom row, you must click and drag down 3 SEPARATE TIMES. The controls aside, there is nothing in this game thus there is nothing to praise or criticize. To say that this game is bare bones is to imply that it has bones. This is a proof of concept not a game, but if it is going to call itself a game then I will rate it like a game. 1/5.
I liked it, but it has some problems. As others have said, the best weapon is number 5(number 1 being your starting pistol) because everything does the same amount of damage. Idk why but I had a major slowdown to like 20% game speed from waves 4-11 then everything went back to normal. I also had some weird enemies that would spawn that I couldn't shoot. They didn't deal damage, but they just walked to the back of the shop and got stuck on the wall. Once you buy the nuke and shelter you own it forever(even if you start a new game). Just hit play, then mash b until the shelter symbol pops up, then hit n and you win.
Damn man. Played the game for a few hours then Unity crashed. Though I had saved multiple times, no save remains. I'm a bit too sour about it to start all over again. It was a good game for what's it's worth.
We are going to upload a PC version of the game for people that cannot play the WebGL version and/or saving problems. I will update everyone with a link to it, very soon. Thanks for playing Idle Potato 2 and we are sorry for the issues people are having, Seems like WebGL is still buggy since 2015-2016 XD
There is a solid game buried under some fairly major flaws. Probably the biggest wtf moments happened when my archers would aggro mobs or enemy troops when I didn't want them too. Then after they start up some melee combat that I never ordered, they WILL NOT RETREAT EVEN IF I ORDER THEM TOO! In one level I sent 2 swordsmen and 2 archers to take a mana tower(I clicked directly on the tower). Everyone goes to assault the tower except 1 archer that aggro'd the damn ogre guarding the treasure near the tower. The dev said they'd fix the problems in the sequel, but it's been 5 years so don't get your hopes up. Ultimately the stated problems just left a bad taste in my mouth that isn't worth enduring for more than just the BOTD.
Pretty bare-bones hidden object game. Music choice is really odd and the shading on the tires blends in a bit too well with dark colors(side of the truck in the 1st level is an example).
The difficulty spike on Brighton Square is just nuts. The explosions combined with the constant pinballing of your car seem to make it a bit luck based.
For love of god let me know when I can shoot and how much ammo I have left. Feel free to allow enemy friendly fire like the real hotline miami. It seems odd to leave strategy components like that out of a game trying to imitate hotline miami. Overall just a more annoying version of hotline miami(which is a great game that based on pre-fight strategy and quick reflexes)
I have to give this a 4/5 because of a lack of explanation of how a couple of mechanics in the game work. I have beaten the game and still have no idea what speed is supposed to do. The helps screens say that it increases the frequency of your attacks. I specifically designed my team such that my mage will be faster than everyone on my team(45 speed vs 15-25 for the rest of my team). My slowest character(healer with 19 speed) will attack 3 times before my mage with 45 speed. Typically my fastest character will get 1 attack for every 2 that the rest of my team does. He doesn't even get to attack first. My other headache is how the hell does damage work? I mean, my attacks in general get stronger with more stats but the damage ranges are AWFUL. My mage uses fire bolt. Sometimes it does 500 and some change. Other times it does about 230. My mage uses flame wall. (Fighting 3 slimes) #1 takes 240, #2 takes 485, and #3 takes 625. Good luck trying to find any consistency with your strategies.
I know the dev gets a lot of sh*t for the enemies HP being too high, but it is a legitmate problem with the game. I just finished the game at level 76 doing between 518-639 damage a hit with the best sword and fire arrows equipped(65 strength and maxed damage skill). There are mid game monsters that take 5 hits to kill. Literally monsters you first see at level 30 take 5 hits to kill at over twice that level with the best gear you can find. The final cave has monsters that ALL take at least 10 hits to kill. 3 years of complaints about the HP problem and it still hasn't been fixed because the dev appears to be a bit butthurt over complaints of other things(namely that the game uses Zelda sprite recolors instead of making their own art). This is a Zelda Mod. People don't bitch when modders make mods of Skyrim using Skyrim resources, but heaven forbid someone do the same for Zelda.
Holy moly do certain things just trigger the hell outta me in this game. The punishingly small hurtbox on enemies is compounded by the fact that you can only have 1 of your daggers active at any time. This basically gives your weapon a 1 second cooldown on enemies that are hard to hit. The MC's hurtbox is annoyingly large(lol that boss). The arrow shooter enemies would nick and hurt me. An upgrade to kneel instead of standing as tall as possible would alleviate that frustrating sight. The MC hurtbox frustration just made me not want to finish the game. This isn't to say the game isn't f*ckin great, just that it reminds me of WarioLand with garbage hurtboxes.
Thank you ! Really sorry for the bad translation, we are french and have a bad level in english ^^' The story will be completed soon =)
