Not a fan of this type of ccg. After you've built your deck and hero stuff the game plays itself. Some matchups are heavily luck dependent on when you draw your creatures. If you repeatedly play your medics in slot 1 then they are useless. The obvious answer to not putting your medics in slot 1 is to choose what slot you want them in, but this game doesn't work like that. Everything is automated once you've hit start battle.
If you want to get around the overworld faster, press 3 of the arrow keys at once. It doesn't let you go vertically, but laterally you go about double speed.
If you make it to turn 242 the game bugs your danger level to 100% forever. Literally taking my entire population of 340k people and putting them as soldiers(with 7 bronze weapon upgrades and 4 wall upgrades)still has me at 100% danger. Lame, but the rest of the game is pretty dang good. Pop growth is a little op, production needs a buff late game, most of the buildings have garbage upgrades after the first. The game is also a bit luck dependent. If good dynasties pop up around you then you will do snowball really hard.
I love the game but damn is that A10 link in the top left corner f*cking annoying. Im trying to quickly use the bow to clear out some mobs to make a nice path around a zombie horde(before they notice me) so that my civilians following me don't compound the difficulty of the fight. Every damn time I hit that link. Luckily it auto-pauses the game when it happens, but it is REALLY irritating. I don't remember having this issue with the other decision games.
If you're new then don't waste your time with the medium and hard badges. You're not going to get them. The game is really unbalanced and it's pretty much a dead game. Everything is a 1-hit kill on you, and some players never seem to die. Half of them are hackers and the other half just outlevel you so much that will never kill them. A 7 level difference is just impossible to deal with. The single player missions seem broken in the sense that you will not be able to use them for getting to level 5 because the bots also 1-hit kill you. Idk how many hits it takes to kill one but it's more than 2 which means you just die.
Honestly it's just too laggy to play for some reason. I've 100% the first 2 in this series but this one has some weird problem that causes it to run at 20fps tops. Pretty bummed out tbh.
The game would probably be fun if it wasn't extremely laggy. I'm talkin 10 fps maximum.
I did have fun with the bazookaman. He didn't require any quick aiming, but knowing that there are "save the VIP" missions just makes the game unbeatable.
This game is a prime example of why auto-quest was invented. Also, who's the retard that thought quest timers should progress from 20 seconds directly to 20 minutes? It gets worse with the timers going from 20 minutes directly to 2 hours, then directly to 8 hours then finally to 24 hours.
This is exactly the game that people point to when they say idle games are boring, repetitive, non-games that shouldn't be on Kong. Crazy that this got badges.
If you have shitty luck then you won't do well in this game. The AI plays things randomly and the mystery packs don't drop a good variety most of the time(Got the medium badge without pulling 1 earth monster). The earth monsters have good synergy and their weakness(air) is total crap early on. Earth also has this beaver drill dude that is a 20/20 on the first evo. Playing against that thing on turn 1 is an instant loss on the survive game mode. Lightning has good creatures too but gets rekt by said earth monsters. I played 1 game of pvp and realized that there are WAY too many inherently broken cards in this game. Asymmetric board-wipes on a creature with good stats is broken(it's "drawback" is trivial).
There was a feature in another game like this that would be really helpful: staff management. Basically you could assign a maid to a particular floor, thus eliminating the majority of staff usage of elevators. Considering that this game has a serious problem with elevator usage that feature would have helped immensely. Even using the elevator staggering tactic from the comments I still had reviews complaining about elevators.
In my first post I was a bit scattered because I didn't realize what the problem with this game is, but I do now. This is a card game where you can't outplay anybody. I'm not saying that there couldn't be any strategy in this game, but because of the p2w things they added it is simply not necessary. You win simply because your cards are stronger. Your opponent could have your exact same deck, but because yours are upgraded more you will win everytime. If you have fewer upgrades than your opponent, you will lose every game by a landslide. You can literally just pay money to win. Strategy cannot beat a highly upgraded card.
I like the game, but it's really hard to see anything. The corpses don't go away(even after you go to the next day. Now my parking lot looks like the Giygas fight in Earthbound. What's worse is that the supply crate blends in with with corpses, as does the compass that points to the crate.
P2W is extremely strong in this game. You could make a deck out of all mythic rares(Just insta-forfeit strong if an opponent plays 1 mythic) and still get crushed by someone playing the exact same deck. You can upgrade the cards MANY MANY times. The number of resources to do so goes through the roof quickly so it isn't feasible to do for free. The same goes for common cards, if you upgrade just 1 over and over you inst-win every battle. Hank, a 4 power/4 toughness card, is a common. Hank is pretty strong for a common as a 4/4. He can't beat another Hank card that's been upgraded like 10 times to be an 8/7. At the early levels you only have around 25 life so that difference is a 6-turn kill vs a 3 turn kill. The way that the game works, if he plays his hank before you and you don't have a card that is stronger than an 8/7 you will automatically lose. This can all happen on your first turn. The only difference between your Hank and his is a metric truckload of time, or a few bucks.
This is an uninspired tactics game. It is without the most basic features.
-You are unable to see the enemy's movement range or ability to move over obstacles.
-You are unable to see any enemy characteristics.(Such as it's level)
-It will not tell you any stats on the enemy units. It tells you the stats of YOUR characters, but it isn't relative to anything so those numbers mean nothing.
What this game lacks in game features it MORE than makes up for it in microtransactions
-It advertises "Free gems daily", but you have to pay 50 kreds for it.
-There's a stamina system. It becomes a major wall when you need to grind mats to promote your heroes.
-The lottery hero system with horrible drop rates.
-There are VIP levels. Pay money to make paying more money more worthwhile.
I have no idea why this game has badges. If you want both badges, it takes about 40 minutes to get the second badge. Just rush story missions to level up fast to get the 3 other heroes you need
Wow, this was much more entertaining than I thought it would be. The gun always manages to startle me when it shoots. The springtality and blastertality are pretty satisfying.
The luck factor is just to big to ignore. You can have fun matches where you completely dominate them and other matches where you watch your enemies get the most ridiculous sky luck known to man. To that effect this is no more than a glorified game of blackjack.
