I would like to see small passive bonuses from benched heroes, that raise when the heroes gain levels. This would help incentivize us to level them up for reasons other than idols.
So not only do perks become more expensive as you purchase more, but perk points, even with the perk that increases them, actually get lower on each run? This is overly punishing. Interesting game design, but I see no reason to stay. 2/5
The game has been abandoned by its developers "TheHippoGryff: Afraid not! We’re not able to work on the game right now with some other commitments that have come up."
I think your game may have a low play count because of the name... How about something that explains the game, like "Idle Doughnut RPG" or "Doughnut Hero Idle"
Every skill maxes out way too soon for an idle (regardless of whether or not it also has playable content)... I started an hour or two ago, and now all my skills are maxed. That doesn't encourage me to return. I like the game, but it needs more.
I'd like a button that allows us, after we have gained both cat achievements, to auto-accept or decline the option on subsequent multiverse breaches. Most people are probably inclined to repeatedly give the same answer, might as well let us automate it.
@KatieSullivan ...The game description says "I’m a big fan of Cookie Clicker and this is my take on the genre with a heap of added features. Hope you enjoy it!" So uh, yeah, it's a bit like Cookie Clicker.
@jmostdef even after the nerf to vit I can get my stats into the trillions, and I am not as far along as many. You've barely scratched the surface complaining about millions of defense.
You need to get your balance right before you mess with your plays and score too much. You're changing things too far in either direction. With a 4+ score and a lot of plays, make sure you balance in a way that makes us happy if you want to keep those plays coming...
I understand your feeling. We will keep balancing, and will find the way back before we fixed this bug. Now that we got rid of it we are able to find a better balance. Thanks for your feedback!
I like the addition of multiple paths, there is some strategy to the game now. However it is still largely as simple as before. I prefer to think of these as launch games instead of action games. You buy your upgrades, "Launch" the car and see how far you will get. Rinse and repeat.
Great artwork, but the game style is way outdated for 2015. Missing a lot of key features in high end tower defense. Come back with the same art and lessons learned from better games and you'll have a hit.
The upgrades are too linear, and the gameplay isn't very polished. It's a disappointing release. I hope you try again and do better; there are much better flash examples of scrolling shooters for you to take inspiration from.
As an easy way to give the Hero different looks with upgrades, start by giving him martial arts belts, and then after he is a black belt give him more elaborate crowns. Then you barely have to change his model and you don't have to animate different costumes.
I've got one 1/5 rating just for using 'idle' in tags :D
