@Neq11 Really, stuck on level 4? You probably need to play more puzzle games if you're that bad at them. It's good for your mind. Anyway... you also are somehow missing the button that says "Solution" in the bottom left corner. I suggest trying that if you're struggling so much so early.
The position in which you leave the lawnmower when you let it idle has a huge influence on the DPS. Make sure you move it around and test where the best earning spot is, then press ESC twice to keep that.
The last ship is awesome, the art is well done, but the game just feels like it's missing something. It is too easy, and maybe too devoid of choice? I guess if we had a ship that we could actually customize, not just give linear upgrades to, that would be cooler.
You know what could be kind of cool? Mixing this game with something like Faster Than Light or the other spaceship management games. Have it be an active-idle spaceship game, where crew stats/etc increase over time but increase more with upgrades/clicks. The ship could slowly improve, and you could maintain/enhance the dialogue that you've got going here. New upgrades could bring in new crew members, and new dialogue with them. That'd probably be fun.
HEY!! Where were you in the brainstorming sessions at Starbucks while we were talking about this!!! Good idea! I had some ideas about blowing this idea out a little more and you might be surprised to hear that some of your ideas match up with what I was thinking. LOVE IT! I might get on a sequel in a little while and I'm glad you enjoyed this game. It was super fun to make and the response has me considering a sequel sooner than later! Best, -Tim
That's an interesting idea. I am certainly looking a sequel to this and would be adding features. Thanks for playing and posting a note. I appreciate your time! Best, -Tim
This is pretty good, and has a unique feeling of a party-based action RPG with defense elements. I hope you don't abandon the series; I feel like you might pull out a top game with a sequel.
After two levels I have my bow fully upgraded? That's pretty disappointing for a game featuring an archer. He really needs more bow upgrades. Split shot chance, critical hits, poison, magic applied to bow shots, etc... Also, no lag for bosses for me.
I would just like to be another person to say that there is nothing fun about this series. It's probably worse than actually working in fast food because you have to do all of the jobs and there is no one to talk to. Since the idea is to have us work and not have fun, why don't we have to rush to the bathrooms to clean up there after every customer finishes eating and leaves their second "tip"?
I really don't enjoy the "anime" personality of the main character. What is he, 35? The guy acts like a teenage virgin the way that he is like "U--Uh of course not! Girls?! ICKY!" Creepy. Even the 40 Year Old Virgin wasn't that lame. Good game otherwise.
Epileptic gamers die en mass playing "Dodge Two"
Poor Billy, he just wanted to dodge a ball with his mouse. Now he's dodging pitchforks in hell (Billy wasn't so nice, so thanks dev)
Takes the combat of Frantic Frigates but loses some of its other qualities. First of all, that game is fairly challenging, this is not. Second, we have choice in our upgrades by being able to equip various levels of attack/speed etc. In this we just have linear upgrades. Finally, this game is very short. You should add more upgrades, more challenge, more length and more options in how to equip the ship.
There is very little game here, and it's pretty disappointing. There is definitely potential, but the combat is boring, the platforming is only decent and this game would never be well rated without the level editor. As the gameplay is already lacking, I don't understand why auto play coaster levels are being rated up highly...
Honestly, I don't even know where to begin with that, but as soon as I figure it out, I will totally do just that! Might even make it like an in game pet system, where your pet can level, or maybe add random events with a pet like finding resources or something. The possibilities are virtually endless there. Thank you for the suggestion :D
Apparently quitting Endless Mode doesn't update to the high score... I did an hour a couple seconds and got bored and quit out, no high score. Yes, I am on the scaling/bosses update. Guess I had to die... kind of lame.
Ah, yes. I'll make sure to add the score submission for when players quit. Apologies for that D: I realized I missed out on that a few minutes after uploading. The new build will be up shortly with various fixes and new features (health bars, world map talent tree access, etc!)
