If the game is running slow to you after a while, just save and refresh. I had the game running for many hours straight and everything I started fighting the game eventually went to a near full stop where I couldn't buy a structure before beating an entire row in a huge lag spike. After a refresh it's back to ticking smoothly every second or so.
@FloridaBoy I'm in the quintillions of resources, on World 24, and I only have scientists recruited (~10% of available workers). At this point, the other resources can only be obtained in relevant amounts from fighting. And training (blocking) has become useless, even though it started out very powerful. As it sounds like you're approaching, I first started balancing out farmers. And when blocking became useless, I phased out trainers. Then later I phased out miners, when I started farming maps consistently. And soon afterwards the lumberjack production becomes very minor. And then finally the science suddenly needs a small amount, contrary to the rest of the game.
@kagliostro The devs are hard to see now because they're working on a big overhaul to game mechanics in order to make future features possible. Specifically they're working on the combat system, introducing resources (mana, energy, rage), attack speed, reworking pathfinding and making far more advanced raid mechanics possible, like creating a vacuum that sucks entities into the center of a point. The 0.35 and 0.4 patch is still being worked on, and they aren't abandoning it. They've also announced that they'll release the full version as a different game since it will have radically different balancing than this Alpha version. They've seen low play numbers for a while, but have decided to focus on the important stuff, rather than just putting out small pockets of content every now and again to please us endgamers. They've said the timeline is something like a month or two. So have patience!
I'm stuck - I can't move - and this is my only save (autosave): http://imgur.com/ZjOzFG9 Is there anything I can do besides starting over from scratch?I'd be willing to hack the game to get the player out on normal terrain bounderies, if that's what it takes, because I expect it could happen again. If anyone knows what I can do, please leave me a shout or a PM.
It's weird, in Chrome the collector challenges lag a lot - even on lowest difficulty. But on Firefox, I can run high completely smoothly. When I disable pepperflash, it seems to run a little better, but not smoothly.
There's only 25 levels, right? I'm worried because I didn't initially understand that I had to manually go to the last 5 levels after finishing the first 20 levels. I'm thinking it might be related to the fact that I wasn't expected to have 60 stars when I finished the last level. But now I'm just wondering if I'm missing out on stuff because it isn't intuitive to me.
I wish I could disable the voice acting without disabling the sound. I think the sound is good, but I dislike listening to his arrogance over and over.
@necroplayer386 yes there's plans for "prestige resets" and much more. Lots of things are in the works for the future. The easiest way to explore upcoming features, besides looking in the dev log, is to check the reddit and check all pitforest-travis' comments the last few weeks. You'll see they have lots of things planned.
@Banana83 As you said, 10 hitstreak books is 89.3% chance to get at least 2 hits. Here's a way to look at it: each book represents a die and for every attack you roll all your dice. If you get at least one die with 6 eyes, you'll get another hit in your hitstreak. So as you can imagine, it's not only the odds of getting a 2-hit-streak that increases with more books. It also increases the odds that you'll get a longer hitstreak.
Soft resets (after beating 4th raid) doesn't reset your levels or items. It only increases XP and gold rewards from farm monsters and bosses. Arena stays the same; Lord sword has a 0.1% chance to kill the enemy you hit. Even bosses as well; You unequip items either by swapping with inventory items or by clicking the super tiny X button in the upper right corner of each item; You can kill mobs by clicking on them; 3rd raid req. above lvl 100 raiders, depending on skillbooks; Skills stack multiplicatively, so 2 books with 20% chance = 36% chance, not 40%; The game is updated frequently, so this may become invalid soon. Check the reddit and developer log for much more info.
