This game is beautiful and rather enjoyable. That said, it was REALLY hard when I was stuck in the mode of "more units = better". As soon as I figured out that upgrading a single ion canon was the best way to kick the game's ass, it was easy. Ideally, I'd like a broader curve of challenge.
I got to level 64 on my first try; gotta start the game with a lot of different towers spread across the map. Don't upgrade, expand. Anyway, I always like TD games. Pretty decent.
Dear Lord. I finally beat it. (On, umm, Sandbox difficulty.) I basically spammed all available areas with pulse towers and upgraded some in central locations to power stations (max upgrade). Even so, I was leaking enemies by the end. Anyone have better strategies?
Wow. Nothing makes you appreciate the UI on DTD like an obnoxious clone, does it? It may have been fun to skin the original, but don't expect us to give you any credit for it.
This game is SO boring. It needs to have its various spells be a lot more attainable. With no variation in gameplay, this gets to be obnoxious quickly.
I like the idea of puzzles like this, and the controls relative to the plot were relatively good. I can't say I'm wild about the story or the teenage sex poetry.
Let's face it: this game is beautiful, fun, and innovative. The music gets a bit old -- is there a way to turn it off? I'm on level 50 and still excited about the upcoming levels. Great variations on seemingly simple themes.
