Your health meter being the screen turning red is neat, but I wish it didn't make it harder to find the medpacks. It could be on purpose, I suppose... if you're badly hurt you can't really heal yourself, but I don't like it.
boast -- thanks for the tip on watching the credits again. I didn't realize the code did that.
As to where it's from, it's a cheat code from an old game called Contra that is repeated many many times in other games.
I think I can see why you would say having the ball go up through the line would be a good idea, but I can also see that I would like it much better if it would bounce off the line all the time so I could control it better, especially since half the time it goes through vertical lines.
It's a great idea. I remember playing another FlashTrek that was better though. This one is waay too glitchy.
The minute I switch to an Excelsior class, I'm completely invulnerable, so I don't need to research new ships. However, the enemy base can't be destroyed, so I can't advance.
I also really love it when you click on the ship, it says guarding base, and then it zooms off out into the middle of nowhere.
Altessa@ I can certainly understand where you're coming from there. Also, another problem is the songs in SCGMD3 are about three times longer on average. I don't like that at all.
Most of the instrumentals aren't bad, but a couple of the vocals are awful (Noise Pollution). I liked SCGMD2's selection of mostly instrumental songs better.
This game concept is incredible! It isn't explained very well at first ( on level two, I thought the drop-off circle was the binding glyph, and that can really stall you) but I love the clockwork machine feeling when it all goes right. 5/5
Needs a restart or quit button in-game. I suppose it's possible that there is one and I can't find it, but that is it's own problem. Other than that, great game!
Wow. I thought the ability points had to do with the skills bought at the trainer, but now I find out you can use them to upgrade stats. After 30 levels not knowing this, I had quite a lot saved up...
I think this game is great, but the last part of it where it's just an endurance slugfest to get the last 3000 faction points is not good. I like RPG's, but not when they get repetitive. Especially when I spend an hour killing a hundred gladiators, only to find the last quest is killing 30 more.
First impressions: Awesome. Some of the music clips are really short and repetitive and don't loop well ( you can hear the break, which ruins it for me) but the quality is good. It's definitely a fun game and I look forward to a few hours finishing and maybe even replaying it.
