Yeah, that sucks. Losing my progress because I went to the main site and connected to facebook like the game repeatedly suggested to me? You keep bugging the player to do something when there's a chance they lose their progress because of it - how did you not catch this joy-killing bug? 1/5 and ragequitting...
Last time I played I connected to facebook, left and came back, and apparently I lost my save! I had completed 18 levels, I had 18 collectible challenges, 18 death objects, 18 deathcard wins and 1 loss; I was at the last level "the end". Now instead of asking me to continue it's asking me to create a new character. -.-"
The controls are bad, and at least a couple of levels have bugs that force you to quit and start all over again. In body level 5 some platforms can disappear after I restore at the last savepoint, and in body level 6 I can't press the lever to get another rock if I fail the first time, which I believe wasn't the intention of the developer. Other than that, I like the game.
I can like puzzle games, and I can like action games, but they're kind of different things for me; as in, they serve a different purpose. When I play puzzle games I want to relax and use my brain, whereas when I play action games I just want to shut down my brain and take out my frustration on zombies or whatever. This game doesn't seem to be dificult as a puzzle; nevertheless, it doesn't allow me to just go into automatic mode like I would in, say, a shooter. It also doesn't allow me to relax (maybe I could if I was better at platformers, but as it is it takes effort to get past the action parts). I'm giving up on level 5; the worm is just too annoying.
I suppose this is a game aimed at people who are experienced enough with platform games to be comfortable with the action elements so it doesn't spoil their focus on the puzzles.
I don't know if I like the you-can't-get-something-until-you-need-it mode in point-and-click games. On the one hand, it makes you think instead of attempting to collect random stuff, on the other though it can mislead you (I thought it was impossible to pick up the [not spoiling it - thing that gets you into the battle tent] until I looked at the walkthrough).
Bug: In 5-minute mode, when I finish a puzzle, then click the menu button, then click "resume game", pressing space doesn't work any more and I can't go on to the next stage.
There is a problem with undo. "Freeze" is supposed to freeze all 8 squares around it (including diagonally), but when I step on freeze with one mushbit, then move the other, then click undo, the diagonal squares become unfrozen even though the first movement is still on the "freeze" square.
@Dudewithpants, that's a good question, and I don't know why you were voted down. To get a rough estimate of where you are between blips, from the moment you see a blip, start counting jumps. 20-21 jumps=1km. I know it logically shouldn't be like this, as some platforms are longer than others, but the game seems to always have 20 jumps in each km, no matter what. I don't know how it registers "distance", as it's probably not proportional to the actual number of pixels that have passed (which is what you would expect intuitively).
