Playing this felt like reading something by Edgar Allan Poe. I'm sure that the black cat built in the wall was a tribute to his short story "The Black Cat".
You know what would be nice? Add an "I'm feeling lucky" to the "browse genres" tab, that takes you to a random genre ("you got... rockabilly!"). Sort of like the suggestions for the "elite quests" in MusicQuest Pro were random. The sense of discovery is one of the things that draws people to MusicQuest.
Suggestions: In addition to "restart", "quit" and "continue" whenever you pause or finish a race, you could add an option to re-pick a character for the same race, so we don't have to quit and then look for the race again. Also, I don't see any option to replay cutscenes, unless it's just me who can't find it, you should add one (the newspapers fly away too quickly for me to read them :P).
Since the playlist repeats automatically, the scrolling should be cyclic like in MusicQuest Pro, ie the first song should appear below the last one and I should be able to scroll down to it once the playlist starts repeating. As it is, I have to scroll all the way up again.
One problem is with certain song names that are written in a different alphabet; these songs often don't play when their turn comes. You can still search for them and find them, or you can get them from a genre browse/search, and add them to your playlist, and save them on that playlist, but they won't play. (Interestingly, it was the other way around with MusicQuest Pro: you couldn't search for them, and if you got them on a genre playlist they wouldn't save on the playlist, but they would play).
Well for the sake of simplicity I made it so that only genres that are included in the auto search will do a genre search. But! I added medieval for you! Let me know if there are any others you want me to add.
They burned down the tavern to remove evidence of the weapon, but they ended up burning everything *except* the evidence. Plus, if the tavern hadn't been burned down, the police wouldn't even have taken an interest in it in the first place. Not the best of plans...
It's working for me. Which browser are you using?
