I like the idea of this one, but the controls kind of kill it for me. I think it would play a lot better if the controls were up-down-left-right than turn-forward-backward.
Hi. Thanks a lot for the review. I have updated Deep Dark Dungeon to include a new control scheme just as you have suggested. You can enable it by pressing 'M' while playing the game. If your opinion has changed then I would appreciate a second review. Thanks again.
Stealth + Horror genre, I can't believe no one's done one of these before, awesome. It could use a bit more refinement like the hide thing people have suggested. I'd also like to see more than one level, the random layout of loot was good, but maybe a full random house generator would be better. Also be cool if there were several kinds of haunted houses with their own rules (Think "Betrayal at Haunted House on the Hill")
Locking mechanism not a game killer IMO. Real puzzle pieces lock together to let you know when you have it right, although I would say the last level is the only one hard enough that just watching the animation may not be enough.
Bug Report: if you try to reload shotgun with less than 7 rounds left, your ammo will drop into the negative. I'd also like to see a loading bar when you game is reloading from checkpoint, 1st time I saw that page I thought the game crashed and reloaded. Otherwise, this game's come along quite nicely.
At 1st I was annoyed it wasn't on Kong, and that it had weird controls, but the control system is a good compromise for a system that uses both fighters and capitol ships, and by forwarding off of kong, it means you can play on the same servers as people from other game sites which means more epic battles. All in all it's a very innovative MMO for being based on a TV series.
thanks, that is suppose to be. if i did not code that.. it would be to easy..
