also, it would be great to see a sequel to this besides the tower defense one. if a wider range of weapons was added, this would provide even more hours of fun.
pretty much the best game on kongregate. i would have to give it a 4/5 if the gameplay sucked, just for the music and sound, which seems to be your forte. the gameplay, however, is also very fun. while not too complex, it's a joy to just play a simple platformer that doesn't take itself too seriously and still manages to be better than the vast majority of the games that do. 5/5
horrible. it seemed clever the first couple stages, but much like real life, once oil became a factor, everything was downhill from that point on. i give you a 2/5, because it was still clever and i can see that there's creativity behind it, just very poorly executed.
eventually, the screen gets so full that you die from lag. this version is way easier than the one on the spelgrim site, though. that one is totally ridiculous. also, it would be nice to maybe incorporate the rest of the weapon descriptions into your song lyrics? i mean, it's obviously totally out of the question to expect the weapon description in the actual shop. honestly, the quirkiness and funniness give this game legs, otherwise every review would be full of rage. 4/5 - for the music!
it's a fun enough game. it's very good for what it is meant to be - a simple game, probably geared towards younger game players. i think it deserves a 5/5 for accomplishing exactly what it aims to. what it doesn't deserve, though, is a front-page spot. it seems that more and more frequently games that should not be on the front page end up there, while the truly innovative ones get buried.
are you serious? thing that you achieve in survival aren't usable in the main game? wow. it's really disappointing to see al the awesome features in what could be an awesome game, but the flaws just cause the game to fall flat. not to the casual player, though! so, you'll still get 5s from them. i feel like at this point, after my frustration has subsided, this game deserves a 2/5.
Honestly? No autosave for a flash game? That's pretty ridiculous. That, in addition to the "You need to level up immediately! Do it NOW Not at your convenience + oops, you clicked on a perk that you will never use" bring it to 4/5 for an otherwise almost-perfect game.
i think we get it. i do have a soft spot for games that make fun of how badly other games suck/how predictable the players are, but it's getting a bit old now. 3/5
this game is cute, but the reason i gave it a 5 was for the new method of presenting gameplay with vertically-scrolling strips and panels. the creative use of diagramming a game was very impressive. also, despite the game being short, a variety of different tasks was present.
i haven't got this game to work yet. character creation works fine, but i can't go into any mission, i just get a loading screen with some historical trivia. so far, i have been told in 4 different ways that women were often secretly sailors during the victorian era.
a couple things (which you won't see, since kongregate is doing everything in their power to alienate and insult their users by slowly leeching all functionality from their site) about the game: the recycling system is not too great. some suggestions: multiple-item selection; the ability to redeem for higher items (for example, if you can redeem 3 items, you should instead have the option to redeem for one better item); no junk items. i also agree with others' sentiments about the extremely high miss rate. it's ok to have the chance of a miss - and, at least we can see the hit/miss ratio - but it's still ridiculously high for many weapons. also, some options with regards to leveling would be nice. i still stick with a 5/5 for this game, since compared to the vast majority of games on kongregate, weasel games tend to look and play like they came out of a professional studio.
game messed up - once i got enough diamonds for the 2 items that are available on kongregate, i still couldn't buy them or see what they do. other problems: inability to switch back to older weapons once you've purchased them, and the difficulty of doing the power smashes. other than that, pretty solid. new twist on an older concept. well done. 4/5
