i, too, am an investigator! seconds into the game, i notice the name, "bela;" the location of Eastern Europe (also referred to as "The Old Country;") and something about a small cut and bleeding out. a vampire game.
absolutely terrible. visually stunning and a fine example of the particular aesthetic, but to say that the gameplay is counter-intuitive would be an insult to counterintuitive games. the directions are scant and fail to elaborate on whether we will indeed be stuck on just the one screen during gameplay. once that becomes apparent, the steampunky charm fades away, and the distilled "buy low, sell high" game mechanic that was all the rage in 2001 is laid bare. 1/5. graphic design majors suck at making games.
wow. a super-laggy 2-d rip off of katamari damacy. except without the fun of trying roll your ball due to weird-shaped objects, no wacky japanese humor, and no silly catchy music. sure is worth my time! 1/5
come on. you're only crippling your game's potential. give us some of our health back at the start of each stage, or make health an available purchase.
i like that the advertisement prior to the game is for the irobot roomba. "it's time to let the robots take over the planet, err...do the work for you."
i am of th distinct mindset that zombies singing praises of my bravery would not sound very good. anyway, like everyone else says, upgrades and further, umm...fleshing out would take this game from being a fun time-waster to a legitimate full game. 4/5
kind of a metroid feel. fun, a bit creepy, good work on develpoing an atmosphere. definitely plays as more of an idea for a game than an actual game - more weapons and powerups would help. more creatures would help. 4/5
once i hit a certain stage, all of my weapons disappeared. they were there on the home screen, where i get to upgrade, etc. but in actual gameplay, they were not there. i was unarmed. fix your f ucking game, idiot.
