What a grind for 15 points lousy points. I really liked the first few levels, but now it's just tedious and I'm sure I've wasted points noobing it up at first. It would be nice to be able to re-spec, even if at a loss.
It's a sorry state of affairs if people are actually learning things from these games. And sure, fun is subjective. Simple can be fun. This is simple. But it is not fun. If there weren't badges for these games I would have closed the page nearly immediately.
Spacebar. Spacebar. Spacebar. Up and down for a hot second. Spacebar. Spacebar. Up and down. I sure hope the other 3 are just as compelling. If this game is a joke then I don't get it. If it's not a joke... well then I still don't get it.
I put this card challenge off all week in disgust of having to muddle through another Thing Thing disaster. Finally load it up and I swear to god my bullets don't even do damage. And hell if I'm clicking through that 5 minute intro again. I'm in favor of games of all sizes and shapes, but when it comes to cards I want a little more discretion. If Kong is absolutely out of fun games to use for challenges then at least make them quick games. This shouldn't feel like homework. Leave that for the Impossible badges. These grind-fests where time spent is somehow a function of achievement are really turning me off. Sorry to vent on you, Thing Thing, but you are the proverbial straw.
Something is buggy with the accuracy percentages. I get negatives sometimes. Fairly easy overall but some of the middle levels almost force you into a net ammo loss. Then the last few levels feed you overlapping baddies to restock. Having to run around to pick up ammo slows the game down. Autocollect=fast. Fast=good. Pretty good overall. Badge-worthy.
In battle, when switching heroes, the "Switch" button partially overlaps the tabs for attacks on the back side of the card. It would be nice to more easily navigate those tabs.
These Fancy Pants games need to be laid to rest already. Good, but vastly over-hyped. I made an audible groan when I saw this had the card challenge this week.
This game is brilliant. Clever puzzle gimmick. Portal references were hilarious. I don't say this often (or ever) but it's too short. I would play more levels of this game. 5/5
There's no reason this game (and chapter 1) should need to use a mouse. It's awkward having to go back and forth from arrow keys to mouse. Just add a couple buttons for confirm/cancel. Like B/A on the old NES pad which translated well right to keyboard for all those emulated games on PC.
Or in lieu of that, make it *all* mouse and no arrow keys. Just not both. Arrows are easier IMO though.
Seems like the only defense is spastic jumping which isn't very fun. Respawns are a hazard, especially on FFA maps. Changing the kill limit would be good. Some maps take too long.
Overall the game has promise. I'd like more (some?) strategy less frenzy of bullets. 3.5/5
Breakdown of some later stages:
1- Shoot Ball. 2- Hit Star. 3. Repeat.
I really like this game and gave it a 4/5 but it suffers from repetition to get Golds. Shooting 2-3 balls into a star trying to find the perfect pixel to aim at is a bit rough. No way in hell I'll even try the impossible badge.
First, don't call them seconds if they aren't. Second, sometimes I pass halfway through a barrier and I'm fine. Other times I barely even graze something and I get nicked. Third, mute button, running timer, lives left meter.
To reiterate a few things I've read so far: the points system isn't intuitive and it needs a restart option.
All games should have a mute option. Novel concept with the click and drag. I thought the boss was fun. 3/5 but a few tweaks could be an easy 4/5.
I think it's telling that no one has done the 100k perfect game yet.
