This game is annoying. Not even staying for badges. Take out any mention of this being a puzzle game. I'm feeling generous and letting the skill comment slide.
I think you have a good concept here. One thing I would definitely change is the randomizer, especially when starting a new campaign. Once in the game maybe change it to a point requirement to swap animals, something not random. And a minor complaint is that the wheel of options should be a little less squirmy. It doesn't really need to bounce around like that.
I missed the part where stage 5 was even remotely balanced. Auto-facing FTL. He loves to stand the wrong way and swing. Then there's arrows from off screen. That's always fun. I'm going back in to try to get that hard badge. Hurray for button mashing! :/
I really like this game. I think it's a step up from the first. One problem I have is that it gets too hard to see the pieces when the maps get bigger. Maybe if there were a way to pull them off to another area and sort them as we please? Or maybe it's intended to make the grid a clusterbmomb as part of the challenge.
With a solid web covering a quarter of the screen I should not run out of health. Can a brother get a frickin' lady bug? Anyway, the game is kinda fun. Way too hard to maintain a clean web. The spider doesn't want to run over existing lines and just wanks out and draws zig zags everywhere, which I would guess hinder me. Took me a few games to realize that my whole web was vanishing because I didn't maintain the supports to the wall. Once those are gone you're pretty much hosed.
Move THEN attack. Not move AND attack in one command. I keep positioning first because it's so ingrained in my head as to what the order is. You move your unit then select what you want that unit to do, whether it be wait or attack or cancel move or whatever. Still a very high quality game. Insane production value.
I just did the same thing the guy below me did. No badge. I looked and saw the red dot meaning I wasn't connected. It seems 50% of the time I get that red dot now... so bogus. I was setting up that attack for the whole battle.
This game is one elaborate coin flip. There's no real strat other than pound away; and since the decks are all the same it's just luck as to whether or not you get the good cards before your opponent. Also the sound effect when someone takes damage is painfully annoying. Shame cuz the ambient music is alright.
On a gameplay note, it seems almost more advantageous to not upgrade your car all the way. At max it's just too fast and spazzy. There was a happy medium at about level 6 or so. Custom tweaking could help. For me I would want a big fatty car like Bowser in Mario Kart. :p
I am continually annoyed by having to face enemies from the left. The goal is to the right. I'm walking to the right. An enemy spawns to the left and now my mage Hireling is getting wailed on cuz he stopped to fight it before I could even see it. And I don't quite get why 3-4 moves share the same combo of "Attack + forward." Is the point to just buy one of those? I bought multiple, but cannot tell if it's using all of them or just one.
I've found the final boss twice and still have yet to see the BFT in 3 games. I appreciate the wander aspect, but making it slightly more linear might help. Also, some of the tanks are just awful and you don't know what you're getting into at first because all the weapons are listed as an abbreviation. Solid game over all.
I really like this game and had given it a 5/5, but after getting into the 50s it's a bit of guesswork as to what the shapes are called even though I know what it looks like (e.g. 59). It works much better when it's a number or common shape. Still a nice concept for a puzzle game. 4/5 in the end.
Considering how often you have to restart this game it needs a quicker restart option. A button that loads the current parameters in one click and doesn't have that screen for the tutorial you have to X out. Or you could just fix the broken game dynamic that is called Madagascar so I don't have to keep throwing the dice.
I played this before the badges and it ran smoothly. Now I get lag spikes. Lag=death on tier 21. Starting over on 18 is an even worse idea than before when it was 19. Just wastes time proving what I've *already* done.
