My main complaint is that the main character is TERRIBLE compared to almost any given one of his teammates. Once you unlock Glenn you can basically bench Josh and never look back.
I normally don't bother rating tower defense one way or the other since it's not my thing on the whole, but I'm impressed that you kept the performance tight. Way too many TD's (even pixel-style ones) are poorly optimized, leak memory, and bog down miserably, but this one chugged right along even at its most chaotic on 4x speed. Props, man.
This is basically just a skin of Crystal Saga. The mechanics and UI are completely identical and even the art and geography of the first few areas is...minorly divergent at best.
If I have to hit ctrl-minus to see your oversized window, you're doing it wrong. Also, this is right up there with Legacy of a Thousand Suns and Berserk as one of the most flagrantly lazy MMO's I've ever seen on this site.
For the most part this series just keeps getting better. My one complaint is that the bosses have way too much HP -- which doesn't really make them harder, just very long and tedious.
Very fun game! Only suggestion I can make is that it needs Low Quality or some option for simplified graphics, especially once your jetpack starts leaving clouds everywhere.
Derp, nevermind. Didn't see the low quality button in the in-mission pause menu. To be fair, it should probably be accessible from the other menus or right-click.
Is it even possible to lose the moon level? I tried to lose it on purpose by just leaving it firing in one direction and getting a sandwich and I still won.
Very, VERY tedious. Enemies aren't really hard, but when it takes half a minute just to hack a basic snake to death right outside your home village, you need to start cutting enemy HP.
If you're going to make your distance dependent on your teammates, you need to signal which teammates will be activated by the challenges and thus need to be upgraded and benched first.
This is like...way, WAY more grindy and even shallower than launchers usually run. I mean it's agonizing enough only having to grind one character -- this is ridiculous.
