well having to go through the tutorial every time i want to heal seems somewhat tedious. Also, ive now noticed that if you return to your room before finishing a level you basically reset that level, allowing a player to just farm one particular level for items and experience...
This game does need some tweaking, but overall it isn't that bad. I think you should fix up some of the skills for the classes (maybe include an offensive skill for the researcher), although some skills are almost even overpowered, like the Cyborg's Berserk. with the right weapon you can get 10 attacks in a single round, although the accuracy is so poor even at 60% that about 7 of them will miss. And maybe allow for more ability points earned per level up, because as it stands it's absolutely useless to upgrade anything other than perception for a good portion at the start of the game. And finally I think maybe the player should get more money, be it from drops or recycling, than what were getting right now. It's just downright impossible to get anything when you're blowing all your money just to buy healing items.
This game is pretty tedious, even on the fun fights. And the fact that when you finally break through their defenses they summon 40+ archers and you instantly lose isn't exactly a plus.
Ugh, this level 58... totally screws with my eyes, the way all these ships fly in at high speed from all angles. My eye's aren't so great to begin with, but damn this is messin' with my head...
A great game, all around. While the final weapons you unlock aren't really worth their spit, I like the idea that even some of the early weapons retain usefulness for certain levels (the spliner is great against copters and installations, for example). Its great how any combination of weapons can prove useful to a wide variety of play styles, as well. One thing I really love about this game is that the same combination of weapons (no matter how powerful or awesome) just isn't good for every level. What makes this game so enjoyable is that it practically requires you to change up your tactics every so often and try something new. Ths game gets a full five from me.
If you're having trouble with the mother cube, try the laser lock, big laser, energy homing, or spliner.
This is a pleasant game, indeed! Though, the whole time I played I couldn't help but quietly go "Num num num num num" every time he ate huge swaths of his own vomit...
why is it that each protector in the series is even worse than the last? Hell, the first Protector was a rather good game. This is just gruelingly annoying.
Just found an unlimited assault rifle clip glitch. if you have a submachine guna nd your assault rifle is the next weapon in your selection and you press E when autofiring, your assault rifle gets an unlimited clip.
I found a hilarious glitch for early gameplay: if you have an SMG and are shooting while you switch weapons to the handgun, your handgun fires at minigun speed until the clip empties.
I thought the elven hero was great with the spells, but the human hero is positively beastly when he uses his tactical boosts to strengthen his troops...
when the organisms came i lost one of my army thingies, and can't make samurai anymore. but then I learned that wizards completely destroy the organisms...
