the idea of factions was a good one, but the most irritating part about this game was having to actually sit down and farm groups of kills for reputation. I don't know why you would think having to do that would add anything at all to this game, but it leaves the entire experience reeking of tediousness and irritable impatience. Please, either make reputation gain faster for both loss and gain, or do something about how much you need to change reputations. even something like boosting the amount of reputation gained from killing the hardest groups of one faction from +5 to +8 or +10 would speed thigns up considerably.
this game is just so... easy. if you pump precision and agility, you hardly even need to invest in anything else except for a bit of defense and power...
Aside from the less enjoyable upgrade system and aiming, this seems almost like a regurgitation of the previous game, but with downgrades. The old upgrade system was perfectly fine and now the game seems more tedious than fun to play. And perhaps some variation to the battlefields could prove enjoyable as well, instead of a constant flat stretch of ground.
fun and even challenging at parts. it takes getting used to for the movement, but when you have it down it's actually pretty fun to just rocket yourself around with lightning and fire. The whole "damn bats coming from teh ground" bit is annoying, but with a necro hand that you imbue, that can be taken care of fairly easily. overall it's fun, but it takes forever to level up a spell sometimes.
This game would be considerably better if you had troops with enough brains to shoot at the enemies even half of the time. I don't know why but I've had countless losses due to troops who could be sitting right next to enemies and just would not even consider shooting at them.
here's an interesting glitch: if you wait until right after he fires a fireball in normal speed, then speed it up to fast forward immediately, he practically just double-shoots his little fireball attack. if you toggle it on and off with teh right iming you can just spam enemies all over with that.
good game, but maybe try to boost the variation of powerups. I've gone two levels seeing nothing but the rotary saw and health come out of the powerup ships...
It's a challenging game alright, but I think you might have gone a bit overboard with the level 10 bosses. I'm sure there's a trick to it, but with the center sphere shooting lasers to block your path, it makes it hard enough to just kill the two turrets.
Great game. the controls are effective, and responsive enough to allow the player corrections when he needs it, yet without being over-sensitive and jumpy, and the gameplay is rather enjoyable as well as challenging. excellent work!
not particularly original, REDICULOUSLY easy, and downright boring. it would be more interesting if perhaps you didn't downright hand the shot to the player at the opening of the level. This game plays out more like "click this man in front of you. good job!"
I had expected more from this.
not a bad game, all-in-all. it just starts to feel a bit repetitive quite fast. maybe its because of how simply empty each level feels. I know it's supposed to be in space, but the simple "boxes floating in space" thing makes the game seem too lifeless in general. maybe the levels change later on, but it wasn't able to maintain my interest long enough for me to notice. while it WAS a pretty decent game, it just comes off as boring fairly quickly.
Ah, both the bubbletanks games were fantastic. the only thing I miss is how relaxing the first one was. This game pace really picked up here for some hectic bubblying.
