Ye4, that happens alot with random decks. I've gotten Onimaru-insignia, Juju-Claws, and Tafari-Chalice on the same random deck before.

God of war, you should play some "edication" games... I understand that you don't like it, but don't try to start a chain letter about it. Also, I could barely understand what you were saying. Spellchecker is your friend, it makes it really easy to fix those mistakes.

Gah, the gladiator mode wouldn't be that bad if the enemies didn't deal twice as much damage as you can. But the game is total genius. 5/5

Out of curiosity, does the Necro tome proc seem higher than 30% to you? I've been keeping track and it procs a good 70% of the time for me... just an observation.

Question: Is Insignia a viable option on Popo? It would be a good counter to anex and Rumiko (assuming you have some luck), since it would one-hit them. Also it would allow poison dart to proc on CC, as well as give knee bash a decent amount of usefulness.

TheCow: Two problems with that deck. A: Run Ashi/Anex-stone instead of Andro, and replace Popo with Vanessa Voss. B: Onimaru would completely destroy that deck, as he's immune to all crits.

Puppy, it's not the worst combo ever. Oni-Insignia and Juju-Claws is useless too =P

Then you need to look harder. The computer's ships have the same AI yours do, so you're playing with the same handicaps it is.

Wecl0me: The computer doesn't cheat. Granted the game has a quick difficulty curve, but it doesn't mean they cheat. They start out with the same resources etc. as you, it just takes awhile before you're skilled enough to use it as well as them. And like I keep having to say: Ships with particle cannons must line up with their targets before they start firing. They don't have to stay lined up, but to start firing they have to. That's not a malfunction, it's part of the game.

Ele: That's true on the later levels, but not earlier. The game would be ridiculously easy if you were on the same playing field as the computer. Look at all the good rts games (starcraft, halo wars etc.) and one thing is in common: You always have to fight against a superior enemy, using strategy instead of brute strength to win. Also: Your ships will prioritize buildings over ships, which is problematic sometimes but completely manageable if you keep an eye on them (which is a pretty good idea anyway).

Pilbo: Not true. A: If it's lagging, it's your computer's fault, not the game's. Try turning down the quality. B: There's no such thing as stupidly dumb. It's basically saying the same thing twice. C: The AI DOES attack enemies that pass it automatically. Like I said before, the ship has to line up with the enemy, which can make it take a few second before it starts shooting.

Daddy, like all of Ben's games, there's a certain degree of variance in the AIs. In this game the particle cannons only fire straight forward (which takes some time to line up with a slower ship), but does more damage than the lasers (which fire in pretty much any direction). This is a reasonable part of the game, not "dumb AI".

Also: Add an upgrade for re-targeting missiles, sorta like the AT torpedos from starfighter. It would be cheap if you could do it all the time (so add it as an upgrade later in the game), but with nothing at all you can have missile silos that shoot sixteen missiles at a ship it takes two to kill, which frankly murders their usefulness.

Heh, once you unlock the artillery ships, the game is a cakewalk from there. Get twenty of them, use them right, and you can hold off anything until you've softened their defenses with missiles. I knew xands rocked, but weren't they an alien weapon in Starfighter? =P P.S. Is any of the ship art going to be used for SF2?

The computer has too much of a lead on you. 45 seconds while you plod along to the nearest planet is quite a bit of time, those 45 seconds can give them a distinct edge on fleet size. And since the defensive buildings are all crap, that means you're in trouble.

I like the art and the general idea, but the AI for your ships is non-existent. You need to manually tell them to attack, so you can have a fleet sitting out of screen range while you build up a planet's defenses, go back to your fleet when you're done, and Viola! There's no fleet there. Put an auto-retaliate on your ship's AIs, and this would probably be my new favorite game.
