This game is stupid. Why can the enemies shoot at me from outside the screen? I have no armor, one hit takes about 40% of my health, I cannot duck, and there's no chance of shooting them because they are OFF SCREEN. What was the author thinking?!
Beautiful visuals, I really loved the art style. It reminds me of something, but I don't know what... That said, it's great that we have the tab key; otherwise, it wouldn't be playable.
The game is buggy: sometimes my culture points are not converted to research points. This happens when you evolve, and get a bonus to your culture points. If the number of culture points increased by the bonus exceeds the number of points required to get a research point, you won't get it. Sometimes this was corrected the next turn, but right now I have been stuck for 3 turns without any research points. + so that the developer can see it.
Something could have happened when I finished the game properly (all badges + all warp keys), as it is, the ending (or the lack thereof) is rather anticlimatic...
It would be great if we could create several custom decks, and choose between them. Or at least have the option of using a random deck without deleting the custom one!
You can have. Just go to custom deck button on Main Menu. Select new and save. Keep saving unlimited number of decks by putting different names.
You can select your desired deck in the dialog box (click on left and right button)
Old games are fine, but I found the controls of this one a bit clunky, maybe because of the lag? While I kind of liked the main character, the scenery was very bleak -- robots and spikes? -- and hence, the gameplay wasn't very inspiring either. It may be because I never had a NES, but the game just didn't feel right. Check out Draconus, Rick Dangerous or Blackthorn for how a platform game should L&F right.
Nice artwork, not beautiful though. I didn't understand the story, if there was one, and I am too used to the false sense of freedom that comes with the player choosing which versions of the differences to keep to overlook that this game doesn't have that feature, despite the different cursors on the two pictures. Too bad.
