So... if you build oil at first you can get into a position where you can not store enough gold to build the power plant you need to build a gold storage facility. Since there does not seem to be a way to demolish buildings...
Perhaps if a cube bounces out of range of the gun it should have it's ice levels reduced somewhat. (Or somewhat drastically.) Since gravity can no longer be used to restrain all incoming enemies it is necessary to invest in both ice and air to survive at levels where HP is well beyond the scope of a few hits. (Since there are enemies all but immune to one or the other.) I do not know why this was not a problem in earlier versions. But I am repeatedly having to sit and wait for slow enemies to come back into range at levels beyond 130 +/-.
Gravity has been reduced to a maximum of 3 active fields at any time. However, Gravity is an essential part of defending against high level enemies. (The types with hundreds of thousands or millions of HP.) Will there be a laboratory or tech solution to un-nerf gravity later? IE a way to increase the limit?
I think that once a cube is iced to the point it its actually black it should get honorary darkness resistance. I think there should be a "Russian doll" cube type that is one of the tank blocks with a normal block on top, but with not so many HP. But when you kill it a smaller one appears of a different color. Higher level versions could have third and fourth "dolls" inside. I think you need a high level little spheroid ninja that dodges out of the way of most direct shots but gets hit by electric splash and bounced shots or if it's caught in gravity. Possibly a 3x3 grid of cubes that if it gets hit by gravity just launches one of its nine cubes into the vortex and trundles on unaffected till it is killed or out of cubes to sac. I think maybe an advanced tank type (with a little cuboid gun) that stops near the edge of the towers range and lobs little cubes half way in would be cool. I think too much about this stuff...
Dear Devs, Okay. So. As much as I enjoy being "The God of Death." (And you know I do.) I think you are looking for something about two thirds of the way back towards what you had earlier today... err yesterday, as it is now 2 am. So, Wednesday. Anyway. Perhaps some sort of limiter on some of the mid to higher level purchase prices, to keep them from getting completely out of control. It has only taken two plays under the new rule set for me to start getting tens of thousands of brown blocks in one play. (A bit more than planned I suspect.) So, this is a bit on the "Monty Hall" side. In any case, still enjoying. Thanks for giving Gems back. - Selva
I'm hoping the "Laboratory" will have a way to "un-nerf" darkness. I realize it was a bit over powered in it's previous incarnation. However, it was the only way to deal with higher level enemies. (IE 3 digit waves.) As it is...
1. The yellow and green ghosts are too similar. I'm not color blind and I'm having trouble telling them apart.
2. It is traditional, in games like this, for the ...er ... whatever they are ...s that fall together to clear if they form a new color block of appropriate size, thus allowing for chain reactions, combos and such. This game seems sort of boring with out this. But that is just an observation.
I like the concept, and the artwork is adorable. I admit to being a bit foggy about the exact rules of how animals combine, but it doesn't impact the game too terribly much. If I had to complain about something (and you know I do) I'd say there are a few too many levels that boil down to luck. (Ex L25) If there are only two or three possible or useful moves, then the level becomes, "did the right mutant fall into the slot this time." Not really what you look for in a match 3 game. But, as I said, for the most part, very nice.
Thank you for your comment! We moved the combination-tutorial to the first level. I hope this will clarify some game rules. As for levels you are talking about... You are right! But you can always use bonus! :-)
I used to be able to play this. For some reason, now I only get a blank screen that does that "look into the void" thing from doom games if I scroll up or down. *grumble*
Hm normally that has something to do with your unity-plugin. You could either try to deinstall your unity plugin and install a new one, or use Chrome where you don't need the plugin.
I REALLY want to like this. I love wrecking stuff. I'm like the Adam Savage of computer games. But there is way too much "guess what the developers are thinking" here. Sorry.
I am going to adjust this as soon as all upgrades are available.
