Even though the levels build up with different types of stars, there's no real sense of progression as far as strategy or how you're supposed to approach the stages. You just fire at will and see whether it's the pre-approved strategy or not. Nope, try again. It's hard to even know if you are on the right track or not, because your aim may be slightly off or the graphics aren't responding properly.
I like that the game developer made Sent so flawed, because it makes the story more engaging. They're clearly lying about a few things, along with the recorded messages thing. The group of people can't be made to work alone, as they've needed each other's ideas and input to solve all the puzzles. Two of the corners have been set-up to end with the person's death, and that's the trap. By not falling for it thus far, they're heading the right way.
Sometimes I'd miss a block that wound up blocking another one, but it's pretty intuitive. I don't think it'd be fun if the stages got larger and more complex though because the puzzles do have to be solved sequentially, and making a small mistake out of many steps would be so frustrating.
Eh, if Dregg wasn't exaggerating about being able to destroy the world in 7 days and a country with two words, I'll admit my interest in the games would be much less. Overpowered characters aren't interesting or compelling.
I don't think I really get how the play is supposed to work. The writer of the play sets up clues for who the killer is, which can be one of two sons, but he's in the dark about who did it himself. How was he supposed to write the play and give the audience any clues about who the killer was that way? The sleuth-work of the game offered only one or two possibilities, and which way the body is looking is not a good clue as to who the killer is, IMO. The gimmick just doesn't add up or make sense to me as described.
This is a more literal style of puzzle, as you have to take all the pieces and fit them together. With a variety of well-implemented mechanics that are never too frustrating, it plays very well. Quite enjoyable.
Just love when a compilation of mini-games includes tight, hard to control games like snake and brick breaking that weren't puzzling, just difficult to handle. Yay...
I had some WBs for whatever reason, and used it to buy some of the card packs, and got cards that I thought were mistakes. Cards that do 15-17 points of damage and have HP of 74-119. This compared against cards that are lucky to have anything be in the double-digits, and likely have a long wait time if so. That's an absurd degree of PTW trash. Shame I have to wait so long for my energy to refill to be able to play my now broken deck.
