@ftbsev If I recall I think there are 5-6 different ninja - white, white w/ mouth, white w/ red trim, black, black w/ mouth. I can't remember if there is a black ninja with colored trim.
In any case, I did all the minigames after I'd maxxed out the minigame upgrade. I'm not sure how much the upgrades help, but I think it might be impossible to win the memory game without the upgrades since the time limit decreases really fast.
The "Lair" level that I have to play as Jennifer is hella annoying. Her bike is so hard to handle - I hate those big front wheel bikes - she just crashes way too easy. I'm maxxed on the upgrades too.
If you are going to make us play a character to advance the story on such a hard level don't make her bike suck so much.
Some bugs: Attack speed is mislabeled in the tutorial. Mysticism doesn't increase the attack rate of Apocalypse - and perhaps other attacks too, "Vertigo" effect, for Inferno at least, doesn't seem to work, or there is no sign of it working (not sure what it does).
I haven't encountered the "reset skills" bug. I reset once and it was fine, but I'm hesitant about resetting again because of it.
It seems like an odd bug. You must've done the skill resetting in an odd way - like manually calculating each of the skills to find the sum of the skill points needed. I'm guessing, if you did it this way, that you made a mistake and it assigns an invalid value to either the variable for the skills or the skill total.
I suggest you recode it to simply turn all skills to their base (0) and then calculate the skill total based on the hero level.
I'm just guessing though since I haven't seen your actual code.
@RRS1980 Actually I do remember that - we were born in the same year if your name is any indicator. The thing is that times change.
CD's cost money to produce - internet distribution costs them very little. For flash games the model is not to give us demo games - and the developers who do it get rated well and get lots of add revenue and even tips.
This game is simply an advertisement for their main game. I don't have a huge problem with that but I'm not going to rate them highly for using this site to advertise.
So....this is like the last game but with even less classes to play? Am I going to play through this and then be asked to buy something so I can finish the campaign again?
Yeah the bugs - dragon spirits not working (not just with using dxu) and the speed powerup not working make the final boss way too hard.
Remember when you update (if you update) not to change the name of the flash file or it'll wipe out our saved games.
It seems like many of the bugs trace back to using the DXU. The dragon spirits sometimes stop spawning after you use it and when you use it on the clone boss it occasionally makes clones invincible (but not the boss itself).
As for easy-to-code improvements, on the ability scree, you should split it into "physical" and "spiritual" groups so you don't have to draw new icons (just erase the "+" by the health upgrade and call it physical).
This lets you add subgroup abilities for them: under the heart (physical) upgrades you get - health, speed, regeneration and under the dragon icon (spiritual) group you get magnetism (to draw powerups to you), DMX power, DMX regeneration.
All of those except for magnetism will require very minimal additional coding and should make the game much more fun.
Okay, the clone boss bug is still there (I hadn't encountered it before the update). Basically, I killed the main boss before a clone was dead - I think that triggered the bug. After that things got haywire since I had to kill myself since the clone wouldn't die. Some of the enemies were invisible, the dragon spirits stopped spawning, etc.
Also, I don't think the speed upgrade works....I upgraded it to maximum, wasting a bunch of gems, and didn't notice any real improvement in my speed - this makes the 4th boss way too hard since it is impossible to avoid his lasers.
To those having trouble starting the game, it is because your browser is zoomed in. Press ctrl+0 to reset your zoom level, and then refresh the page. You can then zoom in again after it loads and it'll work fine (ctrl++).
There appears to be a bug when leveling up. I'm not sure what causes it, perhaps it is if you get 3 levels in a single battle, but whatever the cause one of my ships is missing a few perks for its level.
If you fix this bug can you please find some way of fixing this on the bugged ships like with respeccing or something.
@Enderjmu Yeah, the flux ammo seems to be bugged. It doesn't work with the machine gun attack either. Personally, I think the bonuses should work for each of those attacks since high armor values make multiple attacks almost worthless in later levels.
@Onca Energy siphon is an area effect attack around your ship. It is "okay" leveled up a bit, but I started over from that game since I didn't like that hulk hull overall compared to getting another wasp hull and a bomber.
The best way to level ships is to stick with one ability and exclusively level it up - at least that's been my experience so far. I'm worried that the map may not produce any more gate keys though....hopefully I'm wrong about that or I'll be stuck in 4 systems and would have to start a new game - but no way in hell will I do that again.
