@hoolio: Yes, it is A. Thus, when using WASD, I still press A, meaning that I am in effect pressing left whenever I advance dialogue (or any non-mouse menu).
@WritingPad: And you refer to what? Don't rate the game down because of it?
The control to advance dialogue is ABSENT. This is my irk. The description has nothing to do with this.
Protip pt deux: I should NOT have to tap UP again to attach to another ladder. I should be able to hold it (I.E. In ladder jumping I should be able to hold up while jumping and automatically reattach on the next one)
Protip: If you allow customizable controls, then either allow customizable "continue dialogue" controls or just match it the whatever jump is. Using WASD, I apparently have to press left every time I want to continue the dialogue.
Would be super if this game had any sort of lag compensation. If you drop a frame or two before landing, you drop through the floor. If you drop a frame while jumping, it treats it as if you had stopped holding space. Crock of shit.
Love the game. A few suggestions, though. One, make the shield meter glow/be a different color/hove some sort of visual indicator when it is full and ready to be fired. Two, make it more clear that resetting your upgrades will refund all your money. Three, add some sort of achievements system or sandbox mode, to give it some more longevity. Still a 5/5 for me.
Got a really lucky first day, was able to buy level 2 radar, +200% fuel, and level 1 fuel sucker. Got to the moon on the second day, accumulated enough money to buy everything except the gravity killer on the third day and still have $12,000 left over. Third day I just launched and got to Mars without ever hitting a platform or using an item.
Haha if you stay on the victory screen for a few minutes, the screen fades to white so much that it will turn black again, and your ship is invisible but the thrusters are not and everything looks kind of weird
Loses a star for the stupid aesop at the end.
A lot of people, myself included, find a lot of the fun of games being that of upgrading things in an intuitive yet varied manner. To tell us that we're doing it rong is idiocy.
